I always enjoy doing these bulletpoint posts, gives me a chance to think about everything going on.
*The interview went well yesterday, it was interested as I expected it to be. I had to sing a song and read a story to the interviewers, it was pretty amusing. I won't find out if I got the job for about 2 weeks. (Thanks for all the well wishes!)
*I am still in mourning about the end of Sons of Anarchy haha....however it was a pretty perfect ending. Now I need to find something else to fill my Tuesday nights.
*I have spent every minute of free time working on 5 papers that are all due next week. I did not want to be stuck doing them over Christmas and I finished my last one yesterday. Small victories. :)
*We are heading to New Orleans tonight so we can run the Ole Man River Half Marathon...it is our final race of the year! It is going to be a beautiful course along the water and I can't wait.
*I am counting down the days until I see my family in Florida next month...to spend time with everyone is going to be amazing!!
*We bought tickets to the Independence Bowl next weekend, now we don't care for Miami or South Carolina but we like watching college football. It's going to be a great time.
*I let Kyle choose this year what we are doing for NYE, since there isn't much around here he chose the bowling event on post. That's a good man haha.
Not much else is happening in our neck of the woods, hope you all have a great weekend!!
Seriously, sing a song in an interview?!???? WOW! Thats a new one! LOL! Bowling is a good choice for NYE! Good job Kyle.
ReplyDeleteHooray for getting all your papers done, that's wonderful!!!! BIG VICTORY INDEED!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE NOLA! One of my favorite cities in the US!
Have fun in New Orleans this weekend! I speak from experience: only drink one hurricane and don't drink three in under one hour.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your last race!! NOLA sounds like a great place for a race!! We love bowling!! We really wanted to go bowling on Christmas Eve to start a new tradition but can't find anywhere that's open!!
ReplyDeleteI would have failed the interview as soon as they said sing! haha!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on our last race of the year! :)
Have fun this weekend!! And I hope the job interview turns out to be a good news :)
ReplyDeleteSing a song and read a story!? Haha, that's awesome. If I ever own a business maybe I'll incorporate some interesting interview tactics like that ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
wait, you had to sing????? What the what! Glad interview went good. Have fun at the race and kill it like you ALWAYS do! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh Florida! You'll be in my neighborhood possibly. Let me know if you're on the west coast :) Glad to hear your papers are done! That's exciting!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
We will be in Crestview!! :)
DeleteWow that's crazy they had you sing, haha! Talk about pressure!! Hope you guys have a great weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou had to sing? That sounds pretty intimidating! Did you know you were going to? I'm not the best of singers (even though I teach middle school choir) and so having to sing in an interview would make my nerves go crazy!
ReplyDeleteKeeping my fingers crossed for getting a positiv response to the application! I've never had to sing at an interview.. I think that would be an automatic "no" for me :-) Bowling for NYE sounds great! We're probably celebrating with another family again; it's almost tradition as we've been celebrating together the last 4 years! Enjoy your race!
ReplyDeleteThanks sweet friend! :)
DeleteGood luck with the job!
ReplyDeleteSinging a song.. that would be the first time I have ever heard of that but when working with little kids I can understand it. I think the strangest question I have ever been asked was "how would you start your day?" "Um... with a smile" (insert me smiling like an idiot). I explained my way out of it but I'm not sure I could do that one again. lol
ReplyDeleteYeah I had a feeling something like that would happen during the interview.
DeleteInteresting interview, indeed! We usually stay home on New Years eve. Megan and I like to watch the ball drop in NYC on tv and other places.....starting in Europe...fun! Merry Christmas! May it be a happy run right into the New Year and many blessings awaiting you two! Hugs!
