3 years ago it all started....

On a beautiful Vegas afternoon 3 years ago today, I married the love of my life! Kyle and I had known each other for 10 years at that point and it only took a few short months for us to realize that we were meant to be together.Who would have thought that these two 7th graders would end up married 10 years later!!

I can honestly say that I couldn't imagine my life without Kyle. We have been through so much together in our 3 years of marriage but I know that I wouldn't want to go through it with anyone but him. He is my heart and soul and my very very best friend. I know that we can accomplish anything as long as we have each other. I am proud to be his wife and I can't wait for 60 more amazing years together!

Happy Anniversary my love!

Here are just a few pictures of our 3 years together:

Success!!!

I was informed today by my hubby that he received the 2 packages that I sent him. One of the first things he told me was " The cake made it and it was soooo good!" He shared it with his battalion commander, LTC Bailey and also the battalion XO, Maj. Williams. It was a huge hit. My next plan is to send an entire box so that all the guys who work in Kyle's shop can have some as well. I was beyond relieved!

It has been a pretty lazy week for me, I am beyond thankful for my neighborhood center pool because I have spent quite a lot of time there lately. I will be getting some more pool time in the next few weeks because I will be taking our niece to the pool while I'm in Vegas, I can't wait!

I am looking forward to spending time with my family, it will be a welcome change to being by myself. I know Kyle is happy that I will be occupied.

Not much else is going on around here so I will leave you with these pictures of my babies (Emma and Fishy):

Well she isn't my baby but I love her like she is my own. My beautiful 4 1/2 year old niece, Kylie!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!

neighbor from hell!!

For the last 8 months or so we have had the neighbor from hell!! This family moved in a few months after we did and there have been issues since day one. Now, let me remind you that our entire neighborhood is made up of Officers and their families, so I assumed everyone was mature enough to act as adults. Well these people have proved me completely wrong. Let me give you a little rundown of what we have been dealing with:

1. Music blaring at 2am and 7am

2. A confrontation between my husband and a friend of theirs (the man got aggressive when Kyle asked them to turn down their music at almost midnight)

3. Their bratty children running through my front yard and tearing up the grass

4. Constant dirty looks and snide comments

5. Constant flooding of my porch, side yard and backyard (let me explain)

About a month ago I walked outside and noticed that almost my entire porch was flooded (including my flower bed). I was confused because it hadn't rained and then I noticed the problem. My neighbor had her sprinkler really close to my house and I'm pretty sure it had been there for hours. I was pissed to say the least, I walked over to her house and asked if she could move it. She proceeded to muffle something under her breath and moved it. I thought the problem was solved until the next day it happened again. I had enough and called housing. They sent a notice to her about her watering (which is only supposed to be every other day for 20 minutes), it stopped for a while until yesterday.

Let me say that I hate being the bitchy neighbor who complains but these people have pushed me to my breaking point. A few days ago I completely re-mulched my side yard and was so happy that everything was looking pretty. I walked outside at about 2pm and noticed there was water all in my new mulch, around the perimeter of my backyard fence and into my yard. Low and behold there was the sprinkler! Before I went to knock on her door I immediately called housing again, I just can't take them anymore. I did end up going to her house but no one answered the door.

I really hope that this issue is resolved because I am tired of having water everywhere. I refuse to let this family ruin my experience living in this neighborhood because I love it here, I love my house and I love my other neighbors.

Ok enough of my complaining, I hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I am going to go relax with a huge cup of coffee.

Tuesday Ten!!

1. I am getting super excited for my trip to Vegas in a few weeks. I know it will be good for me to spend time with my family but also incredibly bittersweet as my Mom's memorial party is on the 25th.

2. I finally got new glasses last week. I kept putting it off and procrastinating but I figured I should get some new ones before I go on vacation. I found some super cute black and hot pink Guess frames and had to have them.

3. On July 1st, I am throwing my sister a surprise baby shower. A friend of hers offered to throw her one but ended up completely dropping the ball so I am taking over. I am soo excited to do this for her and only a few weeks after our baby nephew Grayson Christopher Glass will make his grand entrance!!

4. Communication with Kyle has been wonderful lately. We get to talk on chat for atleast an hour everyday before he goes to bed. It helps that he has his own room so he isn't distracted by other conversations going on.

5.  I am finally getting over a horrible cold/sinus infection. It never fails that when I come back from a trip I end up sick. I do have to say though that Afrin was my lifesaver. When I couldn't breath at night one or two sprays was all it took to clear me up (thanks to my sis for telling me it would work).

6.  I am still working on getting things done around the house. I believe all I have left is curtains for the kitchen and dining room (yes we have been in the house a year and have yet to do that lol) I just want all the windows to be somewhat covered. I can't wait to pick them out!

7. A friend and I are heading up to Raleigh on Thursday for some retail therapy. She has never gotten the chance to go up there so I figured now was a good time. Plus, dinner at Cheesecake Factory, yes please!!!

8. Yesterday was my Dad's birthday. I know it was hard for him with my mom not being here. All his friends and family made sure to show him how much we love him and how much he means to us. I called and sang him Happy Birthday and his response to me was "you just made me cry" it was sweet.

9. Two weeks from today is our 3 year anniversary!!! Holy cow! We both can't believe that we have been married for 3 years already. Best 3 years ever!!!

10.  This weekend I am planning on doing some serious yardwork. Yes on post we have guys who mow the lawn and everything but for some reasons weeds are sprouting up everywhere. It is driving me crazy!! I pulled a few weeds yesterday but it was just too hot. I may have to get some weed killer involved lol.

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!!!

Anniversary Packages

The last few days I have been putting together 2 boxes to send to Kyle for our anniversary. I have stocked them with his favorite things (even Diet Dr. Pepper that he asked for) and a few giftcards. By far my favorite things in the box are:

 Cake in a Jar!!!!

I am so excited for him to get them. For the first time making them I think they came out great.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, have to get back to finishing his boxes!

Keeping Busy

I have been doing my best to keep busy since the hubby left. I have managed to turn my house into a clutter free zone. Thankfully I am done with all that and can focus on my trips this summer.

For Memorial Weekend, a friend and I headed up to VA to attend my cousin in laws bridal shower. We had a great time!! We were able to spend the day is DC on Sunday (I have been there before but my friend had never been). We experienced Rolling Thunder for the first time and it was incredible!! There is nothing like seeing 25,000 bikers roaring down Constitution Avenue with American Flags attached to their bikes.  It was good to spend some time with Kyle's family.
