Blog Hop!!

I figured I would participate in the Mil spouse blog hop! I'm looking forward to "meeting" some new bloggers! Thanks to Riding The Roller Coaster for hosting this!

The rule of the blog hop is to leave a short bio about yourself. So here it goes:

I am a 24 year old Army wife. I was born and raised in Las Vegas but moved to Fort Bragg, NC in June 2008 after my husband, Kyle and I got married. He is a 1LT with a Field Artillery battallion and I work as a legal assistant for a small law firm. We met in middle school and stayed friends over the years. He had a broken engagement and I was divorced. We re-connected in April of 2008 and married in June. We have 2 pets, a 6 year old miniature dachschund named Emma and a 2 year old tabby cat named Fishy.

I am easy-going, love to hang out with friends and barbeque. I love Drag Racing, reading and spending time with my hubby. We are enjoying the Army life and everything that comes along with it.

Happy Blog Hopping!!

It's only Tuesday?!

I feel like Kyle and I have been going 90 miles a minute getting things situated for our move, I know it's not for a month but it's amazing everything that needs to get done. Here is a quick run down of what we have been to lately:

* We scheduled our inspection with the movers, they will come on May 3rd and see how much stuff we have. They will use that info to decide how big of a truck to bring and all that good stuff. We are trying to get rid of things (that we don't need) to make the move as quick as possible.

* We are slowly cleaning and getting little things taken care of, that way we won't be scrambling at the last minute to get things done. We have our pre-inspection with Picerne Housing on May 10th (they will give us pointers on what we need to worry about). We get our keys June 1st and the movers come on June 2nd and possibly the 3rd if they need to. I am beyond ready for more space!

*Sunday night as Kyle and I were about to watch something on netflix, his PS3 decided it wanted to stop working! Instead of dealing with the hassle of sending it in and paying for service we decided to just buy a new one. Best Buy, Game Stop, and Walmart were all SOLD OUT! Really?! So me being the nice wife that I am haha, I decided to look on bestbuy.com, they had one but it was at the Best Buy in Aberdeen, NC, an HOUR away, I bought it and we drove out there last night to pick it up..I guess it isn't all bad since now I have my netflix back.

*Kyle is part of a JFEX tonight for work so he will be gone from 1:30pm-1am...which is actually ok with me. I get to come home, not worry about making dinner at a certain time and relax on the couch. It's nice to have Me time every now and then. He won't actually be jumping tonight just acting as a Jump Master, so that eases my nerves a little bit.

*Kyle's birthday is next week so I have been getting his gifts and trying to decide what to do the night of. I'm sure we will figure something out. I know we are going to Kings Dominion an awesome amusement park in Virginia with a few friends. We are really excited!

Well that's all for now, hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!!

The Journey Begins...

Over the last year or so Kyle and I have been trying to have children. It hasn't been such an easy road for us, after several miscarriages last year we decided it was time to see a specialist. I finally went in to see my doctor last week and set up my referral, I should be hearing from the specialist tomorrow to schedule my first appointment. Thankfully Fort Bragg has one of the best infertility doctors and he has a very high success rate. There is nothing that we want more than to be parents, so hopefully with the doctors help we can make this dream come true.

Kyle and I have both been staying extremely busy with work. I have worked late almost everyday this week, we are getting more and more new clients which is awesome. A friend of mine interviewed for the receptionist job and I'm pretty sure she got it, so that will help tremendously! Kyle's work is of course unpredictable and changes all the time, but that's the Army for ya! We had an FRG meeting tonight so we got the training calendar for the next 4 months, I know it will change, but it's nice to know what will possibly be happening. Kyle is going to try and go to Ranger School this year just in case a deployment happens next year, I am really excited for him!

We are getting more and more excited to move into our new house. We have our move dates set up and have started getting our current house ready to be inspected. I am thankful that we have a month and a half to get ready. I hate being rushed so this is the best possible situation.

We are having dinner with Kyle's commander and his wife tomorrow night, it should be a good time. Plus, we are going to the Dogwood Festival in Fayetteville on Saturday, Gin Blossoms and Soul Asylum will be playing a free concert and we are really looking forward to that!

I hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!

We currently live in a different house on post and we qualified for a newer and bigger one. Here it is:

A few pictures..

On Sunday, me, Kyle and our friends Jeremy and Kristina were lucky enough to see Daughtry perform at Fort Braggs Main Post Parade Field. It was a free concert for all military families and we had a blast! We brought our folding chairs and sat towards to back of the field, which actually was perfect. I have a hard time being crunched in with a bunch of people. They played for about an hour and twenty minutes and of course played all their most popular songs! It was definitely a great way to end the weekend! Here are a few pictures:

A while back my friend Jordan that I worked with had agreed to make me a quilt. She is so talented and I was really excited. We found this awesome American Flag pattern and she got to work. When she moved last month to Colorado, she was almost finished and I couldn't wait to see the final product. I got home yesterday and this is what I got:

Some of the lighter pieces have the Pledge of Allegiance on them. I am so happy with it, she did an amazing job! The attention to detail is wonderful!

This next picture I just had to post, this is our sweet Emma...I have had her whole life and she is my baby (well now Kyle's baby haha)

The little blue penguin is Chuck...Kyle and I actually have this game where we hide Chuck in different places in the house for each other to find.  We are silly!

Happy Tuesday!!

Saturday is over already!?

I can't believe it is already 11:25 on Saturday night! This day has flown by, makes me a little sad. Kyle and I had a great day, we got up this morning and decided to go for a walk. Instead of just going around our neighborhood we decided to go to a trail called "area J" on post. It's out by some ranges and it has lots of soft sands, hills and trees. We walked for about an hour and just enjoyed the amazing weather!

We also decided it was time to go furniture shopping, we just have one couch in our living room and we knew we needed a loveseat. We went to our favorite place in Fayetteville, not expecting to find anything. Thankfully WE DID! We found an exact match to our couch and it even reclines woo hoo! It gets delivered on Monday and I can't wait, I will officially claim it as mine.

Tomorrow we are going to a free concert on post, DAUGHTRY is playing! I was a huge fan of Chris Daughtry when he was on American Idol, so naturally I was really excited when I heard he was coming here. It's starts at 7, so hopefully it won't overlap the Season 4 premiere of Army Wives!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
