Prayers Please...

My mom has been really sick for almost a week now and we aren't sure what is wrong. She is such a strong person and it is so hard to see her go through this. We are hoping the doctors can figure out why she is sick.

Please keep her in your prayers!!!

 I love you, Mom!!

Blogging Hiatus...

After today I will be gone from blogging for atleast this week. We are moving on Wednesday and not sure how long it will take us to unpack and get settled. It is awesome that we really don't have to do much except watch the movers pack everything. I enjoy the process of unpacking so that won't be a big deal at all. Kyle will actually be home for this move so it will be a big help.

Thursday I have my doctors appointment, I am very optomistic that everything will be fine and we will get the answers we are seeking. Then Friday is a big day for us (well Kyle mostly).....he will be promoted to Captain, he said to me this morning that he still can't wrap his head around that fact. I am so incredibly proud of him.

Hopefully I will have time to update this weekend and post pictures of the new house and the promotion ceremony.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend!

It is a time to spend with loved ones and to honor the men and women of the military.

We don't have big plans this weekend, Kyle is sick and I am just plain exhausted. It will be a lot of relaxing around our house.

Weekend Recap

I really wish weekends didn't have to end. We had a great one! On Friday we went bowling with our friends Jeremy and Kristina, which is always a lot of fun. We came back to our house afterwards and decided to make s'mores with our firepit, it was such a nice night out, so we spent about an hour relaxing and talking.

Yesterday we spent the majority of the day out and about running errands. Kyle had a bunch of Best Buy gift cards from his birthday so he spent those. We had lunch at Jason's Deli which is my favorite sandwhich place, yummy!! We have slowly been figuring out what we need to get for the new house...the list seems to get longer everytime we talk about it, so we decided to go to Sears to look at a few things. For a few weeks now we had been talking about getting a pool table, of course they can get pricey so we just wanted to "look", well looking turned into buying. We are really excited about it as we are always entertaining people, so I'm sure it will go to good use.

We decided to watch the Disney movie "Up" neither of us had seen it....oh my goodness what a sweet movie!! Yes I got a little teary eyed, but it had such a great message. While watching the movie I had my computer on so I could "watch" my Dad race....and once again HE WON!!! Another great night for he and my mom.

Today we are just lounging around the house, enjoying what will be our last week in our first house together.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

come on June...hurry up...

Well we are officially 2 weeks away from moving. Yeah I know, it's only to a different house but we are soooo ready! I never thought that 2 people would need more than a 3 bedroom house. We have accumulated so much crap over the last two years that we are busting at the seams.

All I can say is that the week we move will be INSANE...here is a run down of whats going to happen that week:

June 1st- Get keys

June 2nd- Move

June 3rd- Doctors Appt

June 4th- KYLE GETS PROMOTED!!!! YAY!

Then we have to get our current house cleaned before the final inspection on the 7th (I am going to need a vacation haha)

We are also really excited about our trip home to Vegas in July. We will be there the 7th-14th and we are beyond excited to see our families. Kyle hasn't been home since Christmas 2008 and I know he is ready, especially with a possibly deployment coming Spring 2011.

Not much else is going on....I hope everyone is having a Happy Wednesday!!

Happy Friday!!

I have been so blessed this week with Blog Awards! This time this one comes from the wonderful Bonnie @ The "Sometimes Single" Mom, if you haven't already, please go read her blog, it is wonderful!!

The Rules for this Award are simple:

Answer the questions, make up ten of your own, and pass it on to seven others. Here are my questions to answer:

1. Why do you blog?

I started blogging as a way for family to keep up with me and Kyle. As time went I started gaining more followers and have made some wonderful blogger friends! It's a way for to get all my thoughts out and I love.

2. What is your favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is Macayos...it's an awesome mexican place on the West Coast. My family has went to the same one for the past 25 years, it is amazing!!!

3. How long have you known your best friend?

I have known my best friend my entire life, she is my sister, Lisa! She is one of the most amazing people I know.

4. If there is one place in the world you could travel to if money was no object, where would you go?

Australia...I have always wanted to go there, hopefully someday it will happen.

5. Have you ever been outside of the United States? If you have, where have you been?

Yes, I went to the Dominican Republic in 2004 with my church group. I hope to go back in the future.

6. What did you want to be as a child growing up?

Growing up I wanted to be an Architect. I loved drawing buildings and landscapes, over time I grew out of it, but have recently started thinking about it again. I guess we will see what happens.

7. What is your biggest accomplishment so far in life?

My marriage. I went through a year and a half of being married to someone who didn't care about anything, least of all me. When I married Kyle I finally was with someone who wanted to be my equal and have a loving and supportive relationship.

8. Have you heard about the Ethan Stacy case? What are your thoughts on it?

I have heard about this story. It makes me angry, sad, and confused. Why would someone ever hurt a child?! Especially his own mother and stepfather. I am so sad for his father who has lost his son.

9. Who do you admire?

I admire my parents. They have been through so much in their almost 30 years of marriage. Raising 5 kids in a tough time, surving the bad economy, and coming out stronger than ever.

10. What is your favorite television show?

That's a tough one...it's a tie between The Office and Criminal Minds

Here are the questions I am passing on:

1. Why do you blog?
2. How did you meet your significant other?
3. Where is your favorite place to shop?
4. What is your favorite childhood memory?
5. What is your favorite movie?
6. What is your biggest fear?
7. What do you do for fun?
8. Who is the one person you can tell anything to without judgement?
9. Do you have any pets?
10. What is your middle name and is there any meaning behind it?

Here are the 7 wonderful blogs I am going to pass this awared on to:

1. Ashley @ Daddy's Duty

2. Mrs. S @ The Adventures of Mr. Superman and Mrs. S

Anxious...Nervous...Excited...

I finally got the call I have been waiting for. I was given my first appointment for the infertility clinic. I go on June 3rd for orientation. It is suppose to last roughly 2-3 hours and I will be given a lot of information. I know this is only the first step in what might be a very long road, but I am ready for answers, and so beyond ready to be a mom. This past Mother's Day made me sit back and reflect on everything that Kyle and I went through last year. I was supposed to be a mom this Mother's Day, but it just wasn't meant to be. After the 3rd miscarriage I pretty much went numb and gave up hope until I heard about Dr. Parker. I have 3 friends that have seen him because they were experiencing the same problem I am and they now have beautiful babies.

I am scared that something is really wrong that will prevent me from carrying to full-term, but I can't give up hope. I know I am lucky that I can even get pregnant, so we are hoping with Dr. Parkers help that I can sustain a pregnancy. Until then I will continue to be anxious, nervous and excited. We are praying for a miracle!

I love Rollercoasters!!

All I can say is King's Dominion is AWESOME!!!! We got up at 4am yesterday morning and headed out of Fayetteville at about 6 with ours friends Jeremy and Kristina. Of course a road trip isn't complete without some sort of mishap. We were about 30 minutes away and Kyle asks me "Hey does that light mean the tire is low?" Oh crap I thought. So we pulled into a gas station to check it out, oh yeah it was low! We ran over a nail somewhere along the way! Thank goodness for nice people who also had a flat they let us use their patch kit they had bought. After about 20 minutes we were back on the road.

We stopped at Cracker Barrel to get some breakfast, yum!!! We finally got to King's Dominion at about 11..we spent all day running around and riding rollercoasters haha. We saved the best for last...The Intimidator! It's their newest ride, it definitely did not disappoint. It goes 95 mph and has an 85 degree drop!! WOW!!! It was intense!! Overall we had an awesome day and got home at about 3am. It was so worth it!

I woke up today at about noon haha and to my surprise our "kids" Emma and Fishy got me a Mother's Day card (yes we are those people haha). It's been a nice relaxing day!

Here are some pictures from Saturday:

Jeremy and Kyle almost done with the tire fix

Woo hoo!!!

good times...

Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes to Kyle. He wanted me to tell everyone Thank You!

Also, I wanted to say welcome to all my new followers! Thanks for following!

Yesterday was a great day, I think Kyle had an awesome 25th birthday! I woke up at 4:15am to make him a birthday breakfast, he had to be up earlier because he had a jump. He said his jump went well, had a bit of a rough landing but as he put it "I am still walking" so it was good. I gave him the option of either going out to dinner or me cooking...how sweet he wanted me to cook...so I made him his favorite philly cheesesteaks! Yum! Before dinner he opened presents...he got a lot of itunes gift cards to go along with the ipod nano that I got him. He made out like a bandit. Later we had cake (his favorite is funfetti cake) and ice cream and just spent the rest of the night lounging around and watching tv.

Tonight we have a hail and farewell for his battalion, we have a lot of new people and a lot leaving so it will be a LONG night. Thankfully, it's being held at our neighborhood center, so we are able to walk there and back (I can skip out if it goes too long haha).

We are really looking forward this weekend, Saturday we are driving to Virginia with our friends Kristina and Jeremy to go to King's Dominion. It's a huge theme-park, we decided to go to celebrate both Kyle and Kristina's birthdays. Hers is today. Happy Birthday Kristina!!!

Sunday we will be cleaning the house getting ready for our pre-inspection with housing on Monday, wahoo!! We are that much closer to moving into our new house!

I will try and post pictures of Kyle's birthday and King's Dominion on Sunday.

Happy Thursday!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Another weekend is ending and that always makes me sad, it was definitely a great one. On Friday night Kyle and I went to see Carrie Underwood. He bought me the tickets as an early early birthday gift (my birthday isn't until July), we had great seats and really enjoyed the show:

On Saturday we ran a few errands and then had dinner with a college friend of Kyles and a few other people. We went to a place downtown called Huske Hardware, love this place!! We can home and decided to watch "Observe and Report", I had heard a few things about this movie and they were all true. It is hilarious!!! Seth Rogan is awesome in it!

For me the best part of last night was happening all the way in Las Vegas. My dad was racing last night and we got home just in time to catch the final round via the internet...HE WON! I am sooo proud of my Dad! I just wish we could have been there.

This is my niece Kylie, sister Lisa, and Dad and Mom

Today we decided to do some shopping, Old Navy was having a 30% off then entire store sale so of course I wanted to take advantage. I got some great deals! I also decided it was time to get rid of the long hair, I had about 4 inches cut off and I love it! It is almost impossible to keep and maintain long here especially with the humidity. I am really happy with it!

This coming Wednesday is my amazing hubby's birthday,  I am really excited to celebrate it with him, lets hope he isn't stuck at work late.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

The story behind Fishy...

Ok, so I have had a lot of people mention to me how they love that our cats name is Fishy. I figured it was time to tell the story behind it. Kyle and I were sitting in our apartment and we couldn't find the cat (his name at the time was Lucky). We called for him and still nothing. Kyle proceeded to tell me about an episode of Sesame Street where Bert and Ernie were fishing and Bert wasn't catching anything, so Ernie said you had to call the fish. Kyle decided to demonstrate and started yelling "here fishy fishy fishy" and low and behold the cat came running!! It was priceless!!! From then on the name stuck and that is how we got Fishy. I figured I would also post the youtube video so you can see what I am talking about:

Fishy

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!
