Weekend in Review

This weekend couldn't come fast enough. After Kyle got back from Louisiana it was full speed ahead back into our routine. After Kyle got home on Friday we headed out for dinner. It was nice to just relax and enjoy time together. When we got home we watched "Grown Ups", hilarious movie!!! We love anything Adam Sandler does and this was perfect.

Saturday we ran a few errands and mostly just lounged around the house. We ventured out to get our taxes done and are so happy those are done! We will have our return back on the 11th, wahoo!!

Today was such a beautiful day. After really cold temperatures, it was bright and sunny, with a temp of 70! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, we were out and about most of the day enjoying the beautiful weather. We started picking up items for our Super Bowl party on Sunday, it's going to be a fun day with good friends.

Kyle and I know this week is going to be crazy busy but honestly we wouldn't have it any other way, here is the run down:

Monday: Dropping off my dress and his uniform at the cleaners, cleaning the house, and a coffee at our battalion commanders house

Tuesday: My only free day

Wednesday- Lunch with a good friend, and picking up last minute items for the ball (jewelry)

Thursday- Manicure/Pedicure and picking up dry-cleaning

Friday- Battalion Ball (we booked a room at the hotel it is being held at, should be an awesome time)

Saturday- Preparing for Super Bowl Party (I am sure my hubby will be slightly hungover and don't expect much help haha but thats ok)

Sunday- Super Bowl!!

I am looking forward to all of it!!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend!!

The more the better.....not always true

This morning I had my ultrasound to see how I am reacting to my hormone shots. Well good news is I'm responding very well, bad news is I'm responding too well. I had 9 follicles (all of which are ready to go and the ideal number is 3-5) and if the doctors proceeded with the IUI, there is a very high chance that I would have a multiple birth (ie: triplets) and if that happens there is potential for complications for both me and babies. So the plan right now is to cut my dosage in half and cancel this IUI cycle. I am definitely disappointed but happy that my body is responding to this medication.

We will try again next month and hope that it works! I have faith in my doctors that they know what is best, as much as I want to get pregnant I want myself and my baby to be safe and healthy.

Other good news is that my hubby made it home at around 4am from Louisiana! It is great to have him home. We had his batallions deployment fair tonight to get all the necessary paperwork taken care of, glad it's out of the way. Well off to eat some homemade pizza for dinner!!

Have a great night!!

It's That Time!!!

As most of you know, Kyle and I have been struggling to have children. Yesterday, our desire to try IUI started yesterday. I was able to begin giving myself the hormone injections. Thankfully, I have a wonderful friend who has been through this process (successfully I might add) and she coached me through text-messaging telling me it would be ok. Well I just did injection #2 and am getting more and more anxious for the actual procedure. With Kyle being in Louisiana right now it works about perfectly for us to have the procedure (hopefull, if everything looks good) either the day he gets back or the next day.

I have so many emotions going on right now, I am anxious, scared, happy and hopeful. Our journey to start a family has been a struggle from day 1 and we are ready for a positive outcome. I have learned so much about myself throughout this whole process, but most of all I have realized just how blessed I am to have Kyle. He has never once gotten frustrated or down about it, he has always been optimistic and positive. Most guys would give up and just stop trying, but not him. He has kept my mind from thinking things like "Why not me, why can everyone else get pregnant so easily", he is my rock. My biggest dream is to be a mom and make him a dad. Any child would be absolutely blessed to have him as a parent.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a good ultrasound next week and a successful IUI!!!!

Any prayers you could send our way would be amazing and so very appreciated.

Back To Normal

For the last week I feel like I have been going a 100 miles a minute. Kyle's parents flew in last Thursday to visit for a a few days so it was non-stop since then. I went from having 4 people in the house down to 3 when Kyle left early early yesterday morning for Louisiana and then finally down to 1 (me) when I dropped my in-laws off at the airport today. It was a great visit.

Kyle will be gone until next Tuesday which isn't so bad. We have our batallion ball on Feb 4th and I am soooooo excited!!! I love the people Kyle works with and their spouses, it will be a fantastic night!! We got a room at the hotel it is being held at so that we don't have to go very far when it is over.

I just know that these next few months are going to fly by, which really does not make me happy. Before we know it deployment will be here, we aren't sure yet as to how long Kyle will be gone, but as always hope for 6 months but expect a year.

I have been slowly catching up on everyones blogs, I have missed reading them!!! My plan is to plant myself on the couch tonight and read.

I hope everyone is having a great day!!

Snow Day!!!

I love it when I wake up to this:

Kyle left for PT this morning and there was a little snow on the ground. By 8:30 it was covered outside and sooo beautiful!!! Thankfully Kyle was released from work because of the icy roads. We have already been outside playing in the snow, we had so much fun!!

Since they have closed post because of the weather, it's a perfect chance for me to get some much needed cleaning done. My in-laws will be here Thursday night and I still have soo much to get done. Maybe I can get the hubby to help?! LoL!

I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Happy 2011

I can't believe it is already 2011!! This last year has flown by, which really doesn't make me happy. Kyle and I both knew that once 2011 started it would be a rollercoaster ride to say the least.

We spent 10 days in Vegas with family, it was so great to see everyone, but by the end we were both ready to get back home. We have been going non-stop since we got back to NC. In the next few weeks days are filled with meetings, fundraisers, social events and time away from the hubby. I probably won't be blogging much in the next few weeks but I will be reading posts.

I haven't been in a mood to post lately and I'm really not sure if I will continue my blog the way I did before. Only time will tell.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
