How is it Friday already!? I feel like this week just started.
1. My Dad was admitted to the hospital on Monday due to an infection in his hand (word of advice: always wear gloves when working outside), he poked his finger on a sheet metal screw and chaos ensued from there. He had surgery on his hand to remove the infection and I'm so thankful that he was released from the hospital late yesterday and is doing better.
*Huge shout out to my sister for being awesome and taking care of him during this and to my niece and nephew for being flexible. :)
2. E had her check-up with her cardiologist yesterday for her heart murmur. She still has a small hole leading into her right atrium but it is nothing that is causing concern. She is not showing signs of problems and the doctor is convinced that it will be closed by the time she is 3. We will follow up with a new cardiologist when she is 2. We are so relieved.
3. We got our official pack dates from the movers! Woo! They will pack on June 5th and 6th, and load the truck on the 7th. I can't believe that we are 1 month away from that happening. I ordered a ton of bubble wrap to start wrapping pictures and things that are sentimental. Do you think I ordered enough?! Haha.
4. I am 1 week away from hopping on a plane to Disneyland with my sister! I feel like time flew by and I can't believe it's already so close. We both have finished our costumes and we can't wait to run through Disneyland/Anaheim. My MIL is flying in the day before I leave to help Kyle out while I am gone since he still has to work.
5. Now let's talk about this guy! Yesterday, he celebrated 10 years in the Army! I am so proud of him for all he has accomplished over the years. Not only did he celebrate that milestone but today is his birthday!! He isn't a huge fan of birthdays so we usually keep it pretty low key at home. I ordered a golf themed cake for him and he wants homemade chicken fingers and fries. I love how simple he is to please when it comes to food haha.
Happy Birthday, my love! Here is to another awesome year! <3 br="">3>
We are running a 5k tomorrow morning, can't think of a better way to spend the morning.
OH!!! I also now have a FB page for this ole' blog of mine. It only took me 9 years to do that haha.

Ooh, what a relief on both counts...! So happy to hear your Dad is on the mend and that E's hole in her heart will naturally close up! Yay!!! And happy birthday to Kyle!! Congrats on the 10 years!! And I've given your FB page a like! YAY!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Kyle!
ReplyDeleteLevi was born with a heart murmur as well. They checked on it until he was 5. His did not close but it doesn't cause any problems and he can even do exercises that make it go away.
Your moving date is soo close!!!!
I am so glad that Levi does not have any problems.
DeleteHappy birthday to your hubby, and I'm so glad that both your father and E are okay! Best of luck on tomorrow's 5k!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! :)
DeleteI don't think that there's ever such a thing as too much bubble wrap, especially when you're talking about sentimental things! And I'm glad that E is still doing well with her heart murmur. Congrats to Kyle on that huge milestone with the army and happy birthday to him as well!
ReplyDeleteGlad your dad is ok. Scary. And E as well. Prayers for both of them. Happy birthday to Kyle and be strong in his Army career. O the joy of packing!! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your dad is ok!! YAY for 10 years!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We are so glad he is okay as well! :)
DeleteGlad your dad is on the mend! We have movers coming next week, and I don't even care. Mac suggested we get some of the original appliance boxes out to pack stuff up, and I asked him why lol.
ReplyDeleteI had an infection in my leg last year, I had no idea how it happened besides a possible insect/spider bite I never felt. Luckily I didn't need surgery just anti-biotics. I'm glad your dad is okay
ReplyDeleteOh wow! My Dad has the same thing happen years ago. Spider bites are no joke!
DeleteI'm so glad to hear your dad is doing better!!! Where did you order all of that bubble wrap? I need to get some for us!
ReplyDeleteScary how poking your finger can turn into a hospital trip. Glad that he is doing better! Congratulations to your husband. Have you posted your recipe for chicken fingers before?
ReplyDeleteGlad E is okay and that your dad is recovering well too!
ReplyDeleteTen years flies by! We're at almost 9. Yikes.
So glad E is okay and your dad too! Congrats on 10 years Kyle!
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear about your Dad and Emersyn! And happy birthday Kyle :) My husband laughed at how much bubble wrap I ordered (about as much as you!) but I had the last laugh because we used it all. Our boxes will be here in a few weeks so we'll see if there were any breakages!
ReplyDeletePrayers for your dad and baby girl! Hope your 5k went great!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :) We had an awesome race and everyone is doing well.
DeleteHoly heck on the bubble wrap! I hope that's plenty. My kids would have too much fun with a roll that big. Can't wait to hear about your Disneyland adventure. It sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your dad and E are good! I was so worried for your dad when you posted about it earlier. :)
ReplyDeleteHey heyy we are both starting our journey to Kansas on the same date! Packing the car June 5th. Godspeed and safe travels, friend :)
ReplyDeleteYay!!! We actually don't leave Louisiana until June 15th, but we are driving straight through (it's only 11 1/2 hours away).
DeleteGlad you dad is doing better! So happy to hear about E, that must be huge sigh of relief. YAY for new adventures.
