A Few Highlights

We had a really good weekend! Late last week I picked up the framed flag that Kyle had flown for us in Iraq. I absolutely love how it came out. I can't wait to hang it up in our new house.

On Friday we got the best news ever! We officially have buyers for the house, we have an executed contract and the buyers are having their inspection done today. If all goes well, they will officially own the house as of September 30th! It is bittersweet, but we are relieved that this process is going so well.

In light of this good news we opted to celebrate with Orange Leaf, it was so worth it haha.

Saturday night we went to our first (and last) UTEP football game. They were playing Texas Tech and let me tell ya the game was a blast. UTEP lost but it was a great game, we watched a few crazy fans get kicked out so that's always entertaining. We didn't even get home until 2am but it was worth it.

Sunday was full of cleaning, football and getting ready for this inspection.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

I have been craving frozen yogurt for about a week, but my kids won't behave so no frozen yogurt. :)

  3. Good luck w/the inspection. Your house looked pretty new in the pictures (?) so I'm guessing it will go just fine. :) The flag does look nice framed like it is!

  9. Congrats on having buyers!! That is so exciting, even though I agree, definitely bitter-sweet. It's even weird to go visit our friends and former landlords, knowing that another family now lives in "our" place :-)

  10. Yay congrats on the big house news! I'm jealous you got to go to a football game. I love living abroad, but I hate that we can only watch games on tv.

  15. Glad the sale went through for your house. So now another process, cleaning and moving out...well, that's how it works. Can you live in temporary base housing for a month or so? Flag display looks nice! Have a good week!
