Looking back...

As this weekend draws closer we are coming closer to the 2nd anniversary of my Mom's passing. I realized that on this day 2 years ago was the last time I hugged my Mom and told her that I loved her. It was the last time I got to hold her hand and spend time with her. I will never forget leaving the cancer treatment center that morning and having that feeling that this would be the last time I saw her. She is truly my Guardian Angel.

Love her always!

  1. I'm sending you hugs all the way from Wisconsin! I can't imagine how hard losing a parent can be and I am so sorry you've had to go through it. It's wonderful to hear that you know she's watching over you as your angel - I'm sure that brings a little comfort to you when you're especially sad.

You're in my thoughts and prayers, Jen!

  2. I'm so sorry for your loss. I too lost my mom far too young, six years ago, and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her. You two look alike. :)

  23. hugs and prayers and thinking of you as you remember your mom. It's not easy losing a parent. It is hard seeing my mom in a nursing home. So many things she'd like to still do but can't for health/mental reasons. I still love her alot. Miss my dad after so many years. 27 years in November. Wow! I still think of him and that is something that keeps him alive in my life. Wishing you good memories of your mom. "-+

  28. I'm so sorry for your loss! I guess it never really gets easier, we just learn to live with the pain. I lost my grandfather three years ago just a couple of months before we were to move back to Germany and two weeks before his second great-granddaughter was born. My family decided to not wait with the funeral until we were back, so I actually never really got to mourn or work on the grief. It's still somewhere buried in there and will probably come up at the most inconvenient moment.
