I am roughly 24 hours away from getting on a plane to Vegas. Now don't get me wrong I am extremely excited but I get severe anxiety when I fly. Not flailing crazy lady anxiety but sweaty palms and increased heart rate type of anxiety. I'm just glad it's only an hour and 50 minute flight. Praying that I get an aisle seat (I fly Southwest and there are no assigned seats) because I do not enjoy being stuck in between 2 random people. You would think every time I fly that it's the first time but I would have to say this is approximately the 30th time I have flown. Maybe eventually I will get over the anxiety.
I'm dropping Fishy off today at the vet to be boarded, I hate leaving him but so happy that he will be well taken care of while I'm gone (Emma is going with me). Hopefully I can grab him before he sees the carrier or else I will never get him in there haha. This is what happens when he sees the carrier:
Haha pray that I keep all my limbs. :)
Well it's time for me to finish packing and clean the house (yes I can't leave the house dirty lol).
Have a great Monday!
I hate leaving my pups at the kennel/pet hotel. Makes me sad. Last time, I even cried :-(
ReplyDeleteHave a safe flight and have fun in Vegas!
Have a good trip! Good luck with your anxiety. Ha
ReplyDeleteTry wrapping him in a towel and placing him in rear-end first!
ReplyDeleteI hate flying. I get really anxious and sometimes get motion sick as well so turbulence is not fun at all! Have you checked in already? You can check in early and that way maybe you can board close to the beginning and get a window seat. Good luck! Have a safe flight!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time! I hope you'll have an easy, anxiety-free, flight!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! We had to fly yesterday & it was the first time B had ever flown! Flying has always been one of his biggest fears, but he did great!!
ReplyDeleteBless your heart. I literally have to take Xanax when I fly. I totally get it.
ReplyDeleteIs that a real photo of Fishy??? haha! Good luck with your flight, just make sure you check in exactly 24 hours ahead of time to get that aisle seat :)
ReplyDeleteYou will have such a blast when you get there ... just keep thinking about that and not the actual trip!

i get like that sometimes when im flying or even jut driving. I guess the feeling of not being in control or out of your comfort zone just causes the anxiety. But praying really helps. Hope you had a safe flight!

Yes it definitely a control thing, totally crazy! :) Thanks!
DeleteAnxiety is NO FUN, but I hope that you have a fun trip that makes the plane ride worth your while!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brittany!!! :)
DeleteHave fun in Vegas and Disneyland!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun trip and a safe flight. I can't leave the house dirty either. I'd rather come home from a trip knowing I can just kick off my shoes at the door and walk barefooted while relaxing.
ReplyDeletesafe travels! cannot leave a dirty house either. Emma gets to see Mickey too?
ReplyDeleteThanks!! :) Haha no she will be with my Dad while my sister and I are Disneyland. :)
DeleteGood luck on your flight!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo Jamie
Hope you have a blast and safe travels!
ReplyDeleteYou'll do great! I always just shut my eyes before we even start takeoff and am usually dozed off by the time we're in the air. I'm okay with flying, but takeoffs and landings are the WORST!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Vegas!!!
Im so not a fan of flying either. I think thats one of the reasons why I haven't flown back home yet because that flight from Virginia to Hawaii was WAY to long! I'll just keep my butt right here where its warm and everyone can come see and deal with that long flight (all of my family is on the east coast)...
ReplyDeleteHaha love the picture of the kitty. Have fun in Vegas!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful and safe trip! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for you to be able to go visit your family! Have a safe journey!
ReplyDeleteI get anxiety about the airport, not flying :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip. Think about all the good things: family, Disneyland, warm weather. OR stay up really late so you fall asleep on the plane. OR bring your $7 for a drink ;) Hope you have a great spring break!
ReplyDeleteI don't like getting stuck between two random people either. Your trip's going to be so fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm wondering, is will the house be clean when you get back? ;) :)
Vegas baby! You are going to have a great time. And don't worry you can still pull a slot machine with one arm.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Vegas...such a fun place!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kym! :) It will be good to see my family.
DeleteI hate flying too but just concentrate and the trip itself and how exciting it will be. And just think of all the new blogging material you'll come up with!
ReplyDeleteI literally LOL'd at that cat picture! Vegas is totally worth flying, have a blast!
ReplyDeleteJust added you sweetie! :D hope you're doing well tonight. that cat sure does look scary.
ReplyDeleteOh, you might be in the air right now! Praying for you, my dear! I KNOW it will be great when you get there. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI am travelling in May and we just got word that my husband might be in the field at the same time. We have no idea where to start finding a place to board the puppy if that happens. He has so much anxiety, with new people, places, and when separated from us. Silly pup...
ReplyDeleteI am the same way about flying. Its not the act itself but more of the stress of getting through the airport! I really dislike it! Lol. Wishing you safe travels my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteI have always loved travelling and flying, but lately I have noticed hints of anxiety and stress on board! :( Hope you had a good flight and a good trip back too! :)
