Blah!

These last few days I have felt kind of blah. Thankfully what I thought was a cold was just allergies. I have been doing horribly with my calorie counting lately and had a "fat day" yesterday. Kyle just laughed at me when I was indulging in a delicious brownie in a mug. I haven't been sleeping well at night either which usually is never a problem. Hopefully I will get out of this funk soon, maybe some XBOX kinect will help. Good thing Kyle gets home early today (it's mandatory that they be out of work by 3:30) maybe we can just lay around and be lazy together. :)

Over the next few months I have a lot of FRG classes scheduled that I need to be re-certified in. I have a binder that I keep all of my certificates in and I realized today that they all are over a year old. I actually really enjoy taking these classes, it's nice to re-fresh all this information. I will also be taking a class that is geared toward spouses of soldiers that will be taking command. My calender is quickly filling up and I absolutely love it. I will also be volunteering at a few events for the Officer's Spouses Club, this excites me greatly! Looking forward to meeting even more new people.

We do have a fun weekend planned, we are going to a UTEP (University of Texas El Paso) basketball game. It's military night and I thought it would be something fun for us to do. We are also finally going to the Zoo on Sunday. Yay! Very much excited for this weekend.

Happy Thursday!

  3. I don't celebrate Valentine's Day either. I have never understood the day. To me it is just another day in the month.

  4. I'm so envious :/ My husband has his Bachelor's Degree but enlisted after graduation... I feel like I'd be much happier on the Officer side of things :( Maybe your hubby could beat some sense into him?! Haha

  5. Hope you get out of your funk. Get out and enjoy some fresh air. Take a long walk. That always helps me out. Also, stop worrying about the future (lack of sleep). It will all work out!

  6. Hope you feel better soon Jen! Sounds like you have a really fun weekend planned :) I can't wait to officially be the missus. That way I can attend FRG meetings, volunteer (I've already actually had the chance to volunteer a little bit on base), and attend other spouse events. I'm really looking forward to it!

  9. We're "blah" around here too. Scott works 16 hour days. Clearly every military wife has her own hurdles!
Go to the gym, friend! That's the only thing that makes me feel better.

  12. I feel you on the "blahs." I thought I had a cold for like 3 months that I just couldn't kick, and then my doctor told me to try allergy medicine. I've been taking it for a week and it's not really helping, so...I don't know what to try next!

  15. I've taken all those same classes for the FRG online. Didn't know that they expired. But I do know that my FRG isn't doing its job either.
