*As you all know I will be going to Vegas in March. Partly for a dear friends wedding but mostly it's a chance to see my family and to meet the newest addition to my sister Lisa's family:
Isn't he soooo cute!?!? They will get him tomorrow and his name is Zero (french bulldog), in homage to my sister's favorite The Nightmare Before Christmas. I can't wait to see him and Emma play together. She hasn't been around a puppy in a very long time.
*When we moved to El Paso we noticed that right around the corner (literally 1.5 miles from the house) there were building a Planet Fitness. We decided that once it opens we will be getting a membership. Driving to post a few days a week will cost more in gas than the $10/month membership plus Planet Fitness is open 24 hours. We can walk or run there anytime of the day, can't wait!!
*I have my dermatology appointment today. I'm really hoping they can do something to help with my eczema, it is driving me absolutely crazy.
*Kyle and I both seem to be feeling somewhat better. I have some sinus pressure still and Kyle is a little congested but I think we caught it quickly and managed to keep it from getting worse. I'm bummed we didn't make it to the zoo yesterday, hopefully this weekend it will happen.
*I made the most delicious brownies yesterday (yes I am very proud of them haha).
I normally would wait to post this on my food blog (which I will still do) but here is the recipe:
2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F degrees. Butter or spray (with non-stick spray) an 8 inch square pan.
In a large bowl, melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave or over a pan of hot water.
Stir in the remaining ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
Transfer batter to baking pan and smooth over the top.
Bake 30 minutes or until the top has a dull sheen.
Cool for 5 minutes, then cut into bars. Roll in confectioners sugar, if desired.

They are amazing, Kyle has been eating them heated up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy your day!!!
