You all have no idea how glad I am that it's Friday! The last 3 nights I have been in a class (until 10pm) for spouses of soldiers who will either be a First Sergeant or a Commander. I have seen my husband for a total of maybe 4 hours (yes I know he is home and not deployed but still) this entire week and I have only cooked once. I never thought I would miss a home cooked meal so much haha. I'm not sure I will even get out of my pj's today, I need some time to unwind and watch a few hours of mindless tv.
I had a great time at the luncheon yesterday and have even volunteered to be the fundraising chair for the officer's spouses club. I am really very excited about it, I love all things fundraising. I have already met some wonderful ladies and I know it will just get better once I get fully integrated into our new FRG as well. I really miss being involved and can't wait to get back into a routine again.
Not sure what we have planned this weekend but if the wind stays agreeable we might check this out:
Wyler Aerial Tramway
It takes you to the top of Ranger Peak in the Franklin Mountains State Park. I think it would be an amazing experience and we have heard the view is gorgeous. There is also a pizza/italian restaurant called Crust that I'm dying to try out so hopefully we can do that as some point as well. Here's hoping! :)
Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend!!!
I love this post title :). It's great to hear you're enjoying your new home and meeting people and getting involved! I hope you get to enjoy a relaxing weekend with lots of time with Kyle! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWhat do they teach you at the class? I've never heard of a class like that for spouses. The tramway looks like it would be amazing! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNot sure I could handle being so far up!
ReplyDeleteThat would scare me to death - but I'd probably still do it. ;) I hope you guys get to go have some fun! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI bet those views are amazing. I am terrified of heights but somehow my hubby always seems to manage to get me on stuff like this ( I guess I just feel safe with him) If you go get lots of pics to share :)
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend
I am also so glad it is Friday! I hope you have a great weekend whatever you decide to do.
ReplyDeleteThat tram looks awesome!!! Have a good weekend sweetie!
ReplyDeleteWill is going to be in WLC for most of March, and I'm happy that he comes home every night, but he has class EVERY DAY=NO WEEKENDS. Yes, thankful that they aren't deployed, but it still sucks!
ReplyDeleteWow that would be cool! Hope you're not afraid of heights!
ReplyDeleteThat tram looks awesome! I hope the wind cooperates so you can go and get some cool pictures. There's a tram up the mountainside in Juneau that looks a lot like that, it's one of my favorite things to do when we're there! Trams are like...lazy hiking. HA!
ReplyDeleteOkay now I'm wanting to make homemade pizza. I swear it has been about a year since I've made pizza from scratch.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend together.
OMG Im sure the views from up there would be AMAZING!! I would probably freak out at first. hahah Hope you are able to go!
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome weekend! I will be drinking champagne and toasting the happily married couple! Esther Norine Designs
