Tax Time!

Yesterday we were able to file our taxes. We had all of our documents in order but thanks to the education forms it won't be processed until late February/early March. We already have very big plans for this money. We are combining it with the DLA Travel Money we received from our move and we are paying off my car! WOO HOO!! You have no idea how excited it makes to pay it off 2 years early. We will have 2 paid off vehicles. We originally wanted to pay off our credit card but we figured the interest on my car loan was far more significant.

Soon very soon this beauty will be 100% ours:

In case you are wondering her name is Squiggy haha...Kyle's car is Lenny and if anyone can tell what TV show these names are from you are AWESOME!

What are your plans for your tax refund this year? Vacation? Bills?

Happy Sunday and to those watching the Superbowl, have a blast! :)

  2. Laverne and Shirley?

That is awesome you are paying off your car! I would love to do that with mine. I think we are either buying a car, or putting money towards a credit card balance. Probably a car since we only have one, and will need a second when we move.

  3. I am so excited for you! We paid my car off two years early and will have my husband's paid off too next month. Also two years early! The deployment helps with that but I would rather have him home. I believe the names are from Laverne and Shirley;) it is one of my mom's favorite shows!

Glad you're able to get such a significant piece of debt out of the way. Feels good, I know. :)

  7. My refund will be given to the state (because I owed), repaying my parents, and the rest will go to Duke Energy since I am on the losing end of my budget billing. I do wanna try get a Erin Condren planner but we'll have to see.

  12. Laverne & Shirley ~ you clever girl!
We just paid off my SUV too ... woohoo!! Well, we also bought a brand new car for Brian so we figured his $220 payment (we put a lot of cash down) was better than my $450 payment so we paid mine off!

Taxes, ugh...we started prepping already because I have to send all my stuff to the accountant. Owning a business is great, then it's tax time!

  15. Laverne and Shirley. Those two guys were always hoping to get a date with the girls but Carmine was Shirley's man.

We paid off our car three years early and it so nice to not have that payment each month. Without that debt and the credit cards paid in full each month we have been able to save up for each infertility cycle to include the two IVFs and now donor eggs. Interest rates really are crazy and you never do notice how much you are paying out until it is too late.

  17. My credit card is already paid off and the only large bill we have is our car note. So we plan to put our tax return towards that
