Dust Anyone?!

While most of you ladies are getting a wonderful winter wonderland we have been getting this:

DUST! A whole lot of dust. Driving to post last night was an adventure for sure, I could barely see the car in front of me because the wind and dust were so bad. I know that we will have this type of weather around for a little bit. It's ok when I am safely in my house but not when I have to drive in it. As I was leaving my class on post last night I noticed that it was snowing haha. I swear the weather  here is so bi-polar it has no idea what it wants to do.

I'm off to a spouses luncheon so let's hope the weather cooperates and I don't get blown off the road by the ridiculous wind that has been happening all morning.

Have a great day!

  2. Holy dust storm, Batman! We used to get BAD dust storms in Oklahoma when I lived there, too...it's almost surreal when it happens, it's like fog...but not...haha.

    2. Same here! We live in the Northeast and apparently this side of town gets it the worst. I wont miss the dust storms when we move to our next post haha

    3. We are in the NE as well! There really isn't a whole lot out here so we don't have enough building to block all the wind haha. :)

  5. While vacationing in Egypt, we experienced a dust storm. It was crazy and fast moving. One moment I could see the signs on the other side of the Nile and the next it was all red dust. Drive safe and have fun at the luncheon! :) Esther Norine Designs

  21. Oy. I am SO not looking forward to the duststorms this year! At least I don't have contacts anymore.

BTW, I totally didn't mean to blow you off at the luncheon this afternoon. I was groggy and needed to sit down. I realized after the fact I was pretty brusque. Sorry :(

  23. oh I remember those days when we were in NM. I remember walking to my work at Holloman AFB. I had sunglasses on to protect my eyes from the dust/dirt that wind was blowing around. I didn't like the grit in my eyes with contac lenses! O the things to put up with while living in the desert! LOL! Hugs!
