Weekend Recap

Since this weekend was our last one in Sierra Vista we wanted to make the most of it. We didn't go crazy but it was fun.

Friday night we had a quiet night in, I had cooked dinner and we watched this movie:

Oh my!! This movie was hysterical! If you have not seen it you must but just as a warning there is nudity and it's full frontal lol. It never got a lot of buzz because it is more of an indie film but it was really really good. I mean you can't go wrong with Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston.

On Saturday we made plans to have dinner with our friend, Ryan, and he was even kind enough to let us do laundry at his house (huge lifesaver). Before we headed off to dinner we had fun building a gingerbread house:

Don't judge the house, Rome wasn't built in a day and it certainly wasn't built with gingerbread haha. :)

After we were done we headed off to Ryan's to do laundry and then went out to dinner. We went to this place:

It's called Daisy Mae's Steakhouse, and has been in Sierra Vista since the late 1800's. It was amazing! Some of the best food I have ever had. Once we got home we watched another one of my favorite movies:

It was a great way to end a fun day!

Sunday was more of a relaxing day but we did have breakfast at a yummy local place:

It's definitely a hole in the wall but it's delicious!!!

We had a great weekend but now we are focused on Kyle's graduation and closing on our home!

Here is a picture of the dress I found for Kyle's graduation:

It is incredibly comfortable and perfect.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. That dress looks great on you - nice choice! And excellent work on the gingerbread house. I stuck to gingerbread trees this year because I am way too impatient when trying to put the house together.

  3. Rome wasn't built in a day? I want to do a gingerbread house with Rey so bad. I saw a friend of mine do them out of graham crackers...thought that was kind of genius really!

    Dress looks great!

  10. The gingerbread house looks awesome. I did one once with my boys. Not a good experience! I actually think ours was a Halloween one. Maybe that was why!
