When we moved into the house we started talking about landscaping the backyard. We knew we wanted grass/rocks but really were not keen on doing the work ourselves.
This is what we have to work with:
Awesome, right?!
My Dad had suggested that we look into artificial grass. We were immediately all for it. The maintenance would be minimal and the water usage would be next to nothing. We wouldn't have to worry about it dying or watering it.
We found a company called SYN Lawn. They came out yesterday to do a free estimate. The best part is that they also do rock landscape. Well, the price was right and they will start everything the week of the 7th! We will have an 800sq ft area of artificial grass and the rest will be rock with a stepping stone path from the patio to the grass.
I am excited to see some green in the backyard instead of dirt.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Hi Jen! Oh i'm sure it will all look great when it's done. Excited to see a picture of it when it's all done. We're building an ensuite bathroom over here ; it's all hard work but i think it will be worth it :)
ReplyDeleteLow maintenance yard? Yes, please. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a high maintenance yard. I love it, but it does take a lot of work!!
I cannot wait to see the pictures!
ReplyDeleteI actually love how that looks! I can't wait to see once you fix it up your way! I stalked back to the house pics & love it!
ReplyDeleteMy aunt has fake grass and installed sprinklers for her grand kids and to cool the grass down for her dogs. I think it's fantastic! I'd do the same if we lived in a hot area
ReplyDeleteWow that's a cool idea! I just looked at that website and my boyfriend would want a putting green if we did that haha. And it really doesn't look artificial. Can't wait to see the progress!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I can't wait to see how it turns out - I don't think I've ever seen an artificial lawn before, so I'm super curious.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome! Knowing my husband he would turn it into a putting green! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet! Can't wait to see it! And am I the only one who didn't know people ACTUALLY used fake grass outside of sports arenas? I was pretty flabbergasted when we moved here and took a walk around our neighborhood:) On our list for this year is finally landscaping our backyard... it's only taken us two years...
ReplyDeleteThat'll look great! Can't wait to see :)
ReplyDeleteArtificial grass is blowing my mind. Do you think it'll be nice to lay on? If it is, it sounds kind of genius, especially with that much space back there. I love how quick it's all coming together for you!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so great! Can't wait to see it all done! :)
ReplyDeleteMy best friend lives in N Las Vegas and just bought a house with artificial grass. It looks amazing. If my husband and I ever settle in one spot long enough to purchase a home, I am all for it!
ReplyDeleteYour space really looks neat and seems ideal to lay artificial grass on. I am excited to see the outcome of your project. I bet that it will look awesome!
