About a month ago 2 news families moved in across the street from us. We usually stay to ourselves but I am always friendly. On several different occasions I have said hi to the wives and gotten eye rolls and dirty looks. Really?! I'm trying to be nice to you and you are total bitches. Real classy.
We live on a one way street so yesterday when the movers were here they were positioning the truck so that it wouldn't be in anyone's way or block anyone's driveways. As they were doing this one of the husbands walked out and rudely yelled "Hey you can't park here it's a one way street!" No shit sherlock but where else are they supposed to go!? I told them to ignore the guy and park wherever they wanted.
I honestly don't get people, nothing was blocking their driveway but yet he chose to be an ass. I didn't bitch when their moving truck was blocking my driveway. My husband has said that he notices that after PT in the morning one of the husbands is always going over to the others house and he is blocking his face so no one sees him. Really?! Talk about a total creep! I just don't understand whatever happened to having normal neighbors, ones that acknowledge you when you say hi and are just generally nice people.

Our neighborhood in NC was awesome because we knew pretty much everyone and even if we didn't know each other well we still said hi and were nice to each other. You would think that the people in our neighborhood would be nice because we are all only here for a short time and it would be nice to make a few friends.
Better luck next neighborhood I guess!
