I just rolled out of bed a few minutes ago to get ready for my day trip to El Paso! I'm heading there to have inspections done on our new home. I am also really excited because I'm meeting up with a good friend from Bragg that also recently PCS'd to Bliss with her husband and son. Our husbands worked today and became pretty good friends. It will be nice to see a friendly face. This is definitely going to be a long day but so worth it! I will be doing lots of this today:
4 1/2 hours there and 4 1/2 hours back. I will only actually be in El Paso for about 3 hours haha.
We did also find out yesterday that we will not have our household goods by Christmas. They won't be delivered until the day after Christmas. That just means we are going out to dinner on Christmas day! I am more than ok with that.
I am so glad that we kept our Christmas Tree so we can at least have that in the new house.

I hope you all have a great day!!
So much driving... I hate driving. It'll all be worth it though! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip : )
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!! And dinner out on holidays is never a bad thing every once in a while... less to worry about :)
ReplyDeleteI actually did dinner out one year for Christmas with the family and it was great! No stress! I'd REALLY REALLY recommend the McCormick and Schmidt's Christmas buffet. Kinda pricier but WELL worth it!!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels - looking forward to hearing all about the new home! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe drive!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the inspections and have a safe trip to El Paso!
ReplyDeleteThat drive looks super boring, Ugh...reminds me of driving to Vegas once. It was hell.
ReplyDeleteJust turn up the music as loud as you can and rock out like no one is watching!

Safe travels! Yay! So happy for you! :)
ReplyDeleteIs it weird that I'm so excited for you to move into your new house? It's so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI also think that it's amazing you're so chill about moving in the middle of Christmas/not having your stuff delivered until the next day/having to go out for dinner. Actually, I think I'd be really happy about having to go out for dinner, too. My suggestion is a nice Asian place where they sing "Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra."
