Airborne!

When we bought our home the first thing Kyle wanted to do was find those little plastic paratroopers and drop them from our 2nd floor haha (since it looks out over the living room). Well, after going to several different stores we finally found them at Kmart yesterday:

This was mine (his parachute fell off, I didn't have it tied very tight lol)

Kyle was so excited (you can take the soldier out of an Airborne unit but you can't take the Airborne out of the soldier haha)

Sorry for the blurry picture, but it worked. I love that I have a husband who enjoys having fun. We are always laughing and joking, this was most certainly no exception. I'm sure every now and then I will see these little guys floating down to the living room.

I hope you all have a great day, we are going to a few museums which I know is going to be awesome.

  1. That's awesome! I'm pretty sure our husbands would be friends if they knew each other. That's exactly the kind of thing my husband would think up.

  2. This is amazing! I love that my boyfriend loves acting like a kid too. Now I'm going to look for a spot like this when we search for our next home lol.

  4. oh so funny! my son never has let me forgot that I wouldn't let him have the container of army men. Sigh! He had Legos and micro machines and a little police car with a siren. Come on! HA! Loved the parachuter from the 2nd story of your house. That's great! Hey, we used to live in Las Cruces,NM, not far from El Paso, TX. We were stationed at Holloman AFB before we moved to LC after I got out. Memories for sure. I hop over to your blog from time to time from AF Wife--Mrs Sergeant. Enjoy your new home! Hugs!

  5. LOL

I have an Airborne guy too (oldest child) and I can totally see him doing this too. My hubby gets these parachuters for Christmas stockings or little treats for himself/the kids from time to time. :)

  8. Whenever I see those little paratroopers I think of two things: dropping them off the roof of my childhood home with my brother, and my family putting them in the grown-up boys Christmas stockings. :)

Glad you guys are enjoying the new place!
