Weekend Happenings

On Friday around 5 my Dad got here after driving 8 hours from Vegas. It was so awesome to have him here to see where we are living. He is always busy with work so this might be his only chance to visit. We had a great dinner at a Greek restaurant in town and relaxed the rest of the evening. We got up on Saturday, I made breakfast and we headed off to spend the day in Tombstone. We had a blast!!! While at lunch at Big Nose Kate's Saloon we decided it would be fun to have a shot of whiskey at a saloon while in Tombstone haha. The whiskey we had was rumored to be what Doc Holliday drank. It was awesome!!

Me and Dad at lunch

In a local store in Tombstone I found these awesome measuring spoons:

They are mostly definitely me!

This morning we had breakfast at a yummy local cafe and Dad headed home at about 11am and we headed to Tucson. We had to get Kyle measured for a tux for his brothers wedding next month. We shopped around a bit and enjoyed the amazing weather!!

On the way home we were listening to the radio and a local country station was having a contest for 2 tickets to the Easton Corbin concert on Saturday in Tucson. Well I knew I had the right answer to the question and after calling 58 times I got through and won the tickets!!!! Kyle and I were cracking up the whole time, I honestly didn't care about the tickets I just wanted to prove that I knew the right answer. LOL! Now we have all of our weekend plans next week. The Easton Corbin concert on Saturday and the Cardinals and Eagles game on Sunday. It will be a great weekend!!!

Now it's time to relax on the couch and watch racing! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

  2. Did you eat at The Landmark? If so, I'm jealous! That place is the only thing I miss about Sierra Vista :) Love the spoons!

  3. It always pays to be right. I try to convince my husband of this often but only half the time does he understand this logic

  4. That's awesome you got to spend time with your dad. I wish my parents could visit us here, but it's crazy expensive and my siblings are both still in school.

Way to go on those concert tickets! Sounds like you guys have a bunch of fun things going on. :)
