I always thought that preparing for vacation was simple. Do laundry, pack your suitcase and off you go! Unfortunately that is not the case for this trip. I am leaving my husband at home by himself (well of course the animals will be here) for almost a month. I, of course want to make sure that the house is spotless, even though I know that it will probably be destroyed in a matter of days. So over the next few days I will be knee deep in these:
I am going to scrub the house from top to bottom on Monday, since my flight isn't until late evening. Most people I know absolutely hate cleaning, I on the other hand LOVE it! Kyle always jokes that he can tell when I want to clean because I start pacing around the house asking him "Does the house look clean?!" LOL! Thanks to this stuff cleaning is made so much easier:
My favorite cleaner!
I spent yesterday stocking the house with everything (besides groceries, I will do that on Monday) that I know Kyle will need while I'm gone. Yes, I know he is capable of going to the store but I figured might as well just get everything now. It will make things easier for him and he will be able to focus on the MICCC and classes for his Master's while I'm gone. I am a pretty awesome wife, aren't I?! haha.
Well, it's time for me to relax (before I head off to Best Buy to get Kyle a new video game lol) and enjoy some tea in my super fun mug:
Cute, right!?
Have a great day!!!
good luck with everything going on!! i also have a love/hate relationship with cleaning ...love the result, hate the effort.
ReplyDeletegood luck to your husband too.
Where are you heading? Somewhere warm and beachy?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Is it going to be an issue getting you your scarf in time?
That's awesome! I'm a clean freak so before we leave on vacation I do the same thing! My husband always laughs at me because he wants to know why I do it before...
ReplyDeleteI always tell him that if someone breaks in I want them to know that my house is spotless!
Haha...and just wait till you have little ones, your list gets a whole lot longer!

ReplyDeleteWow you're an awesome wife! If I were leaving my husband alone for awhile I'd probably do the same thing :) I always like to clean before we go away too! Your mug is adorable, I love that the spoon is included!!
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite cleaner too! I love the smell of it. I wanted to let you know that I awarded you the Versatile Blog Award. You can check it out on my blog!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cleaner as well. And yes, you are an awesome wife! I once went on a week long trip with our (at the time) 1 year old. When I came back, my house was cleaner than when I had left AND dinner was made. Though, I'm sure my husband would have appreciated me prepping the house for him a little more before I left. hehe
