Several years ago I heard about the All American Marathon for the first time. It's an event held here in Fort Bragg/ Fayetteville that is pretty amazing. They have a full marathon, half marathon and a 5k. The marathon and half marathon start in downtown Fayetteville and finish on Fort Bragg. There are so many things to see to include a memorial mile for fallen heroes. This event has been on my bucket list since then.
When we found out that we would be coming back here I said to Kyle that I had to participate in this race. It was going to happen. I am so excited that this will be my 3rd marathon.
A few weeks ago I was browsing the events Facebook page and I saw the announcement that the application process had opened for Ambassadors for the 2019 event. I figured why not. I am passionate about running and this event is one that I was going to participate in so why not try to be someone who can represent and share this amazing event.
Well fast forward a few weeks and last Monday I found out that out of 100 applicants I was selected as 1 of 15 Ambassadors! To say I was honored would be a complete understatement. I am so excited to represent and be a part of this event. One of the benefits of being an ambassador means that I get to provide a promo code for those who wish to participate in either the marathon or the half.
