Last night we attended the OPS Group Holiday Ball. It also happened to be the first time that we were leaving Emmy overnight. We are grateful that my Dad was coming into town for Thanksgiving and stayed longer so he could keep her for us.
We headed off to Lake Charles, had lunch, ran a few errands and then checked into the hotel. The view from our room was amazing!!
After checking in we grabbed some drinks and walked around the hotel/casino. We found the ballroom and then ended up playing a few machines in the casino just to kill some time.
We got ready and of course I had to snap some photos of the process.
After heading downstairs, the first thing we always do is take professional photos. The formal portion of the event was a lot of fun and different than what we are used to. I didn't take a lot of photos because I just wanted to enjoy the evening. We stayed and danced a bit but then headed upstairs to change and go to the casino.
After an hour or so we headed to the room and crashed haha. It's always nice to get dressed up plus we get to go home with a little souvenir (and add it to the collection of a million other pieces of military glassware that we have lol).
It was a nice night but we are so happy to be home with E!
That dress is absolutely perfect on you! High five "surviving" your first night away from E. :) Glad you guys had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Sounds like a fabulous time!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you! It was a wonderful time. :)
DeleteLove the look! I forgot you changed dresses :) I like the stripes.
ReplyDeleteOh, it is so hard leaving them for the first time. My mom flew in to watch the kids the first time I had ever left Ace, Pierce, and Avalon, and I didn't make it. LOL! I was like I need to get home, also I was breastfeeding A and my boobs were killing me. HAHA! Glad you guys had fun though :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a great time!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that y'all missed Emmy, but at least you had an absolute blast for the ball! I loved getting all dressed up for proms and homecoming and I secretly wished that I was able to go to formal events as an adult! You looked beautiful by the way, and I love your dress!
