In honor of National Running Day yesterday the Rock 'n' Roll series was offering a significant discount on certain races. As soon as I saw this I knew I needed to go ahead and register for the New Orleans Marathon!
February 28, 2016 is going to be awesome and I think it will be a perfect race for my 2nd marathon. It actually takes place almost 2 years to the day after my 1st.

It's official!
I am bummed though that Kyle won't be able to run it with me because he will be finishing up a rotation that day. Boo! However, I know he will be cheering me on from afar and my sister might come up to cheer me on.
After experiencing New Orleans this past weekend I knew that running through this city would be absolutely incredible. I have 268 days to get in tip top running shape and get my time to where I want it to be.
I am pumped and have a few races in between to use as training runs so I should be just fine.
Happy Thursday everyone!
Whoo hoo!! I'm getting my workout watching you sign up! Lol. I'd love to do a race again actually but I need to gain a little weight back/get back to normal after all the tooth drama and basically not being able to eat much for months. I've got to get back in the gym soon!
ReplyDeleteHaha hopefully you get back into a routine soon!
