In a little over a week we will celebrating our 7 year anniversary....it's amazing to me how fast time has flown by.
With that being said I am still at a loss as to what to get Kyle. I have been given some pretty amazing ideas from the fellow bloggers and friends but I'm still torn. Do you I go the traditional route or do I come up with something creative or practical? Let me say that Kyle is one of the most difficult people to shop for, not in the sense that he is picky but more so that he has everything he wants.
I am really close to ordering this....it's functional and something that I know he would love. Plus he loves any chance he gets to rep his Alma Mater.
I've also thought about getting him all of the seasons of Breaking Bad. He loved that show and I know he would load them all onto his computer and watch them over and over again.
Thankfully I still have a little bit of time to decide (10 days to be exact but who is counting lol). It might come down to him just picking out what he wants haha.
Any help you can throw my direction would be grand!
Happy Thursday!
Happy (almost) 7 year anniversary!! I like that fire pit idea, cos then you could also get some use of it..? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of traditional combined with creative. For instance, the traditional 4th anniversary gift is flowers, but Isaiah isn't the type of guy who would enjoy a bouquet (haha) so last year I got him a watch with "rose" gold on it.
ReplyDeleteSo since 7th anniversary is wool or copper, I say go with that copper colored fire pit! If you know he will love it, I say go for it. You could combine it with a big wool blanket for you guys to throw over yourselves on chillier nights when you still want to sit around the fire. (Also can't go wrong repping WA state anything!!)
Love the fire pit! Going to order one for us too! Go Cougs!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would love it. :)
DeleteUgh! I hate getting my husband gifts for everything! This Christmas I got him a membership to The Dollar Shave Club. I thought it was great but he was pretty unimpressed with it. I'm all for the fire pit. You guys can both enjoy it!!!
ReplyDeleteBoo that he was unimpressed with it!
DeleteI think that fire pit is amazing, lady!!! That's my pick!!!! 7 years, that's amazing! What is the traditional gift?
ReplyDeleteI think that is a great idea!
ReplyDelete:) Thanks!
DeleteThe fire pit is awesome! We don't exchange gifts anymore for our anniversary, we usually plan a special night for the two of us. Good luck! I'm sure he will love whatever you pick! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the fire pit is awesome, especially cause you could move it when the time comes. Copper is supposedly the traditional gift, I think the pit fits the color! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely get the fire pit! We want the Hokie one but have no place to put it.
ReplyDeleteTJ is the same! He always gets what he wants before I can get it for him for his birthday/Christmas/anniversary. But I think that fire pit is so cool! Get that!
ReplyDeleteI like the fire pit idea!
ReplyDeleteI like the fire pit! Scott usually buys what he wants, when he wants it so gifts are difficult. Our anniversary was at the end of May, but I'm going to order his favorite wine online (you can rarely find it in stores) so he can have it when he gets back.
ReplyDeleteThose are both great ideas!! Our third anniversary is on the 26th and I'm in the same boat...although we booked a weekend trip to San Antonio so I'm hoping that acts as both of our gifts, haha. I stress out about his birthday, Christmas, & anniversary every year- he has everything he wants or if he sees something (within reason, lol) that he wants throughout the year, he buys it. The past two anniversaries I've made him something (ok it was more for me but you know ;) a memory book and where we met, got engaged, and married picture thing). I'm stumped for this year...perhaps I'll have to do your coaster project! Definitely choose one of your ideas!
ReplyDeleteLove the fire pit idea. My hubby loves his fire pit. I think it's a man thing.
ReplyDeleteI think we have the same anniversary!! June 21st, right?? I'm laughing because I have been STRUGGLING to figure out a gift for my husband because he is away at OCS right now and I'm pretty limited with what I can send him. I settled for a personalized calendar with pictures of us and a countdown until we get to see each other. I LOVE the fire pit idea - you'll get tons of use out if it!
ReplyDeleteYes June 21st!!!! :) It's such a popular date haha.
DeleteThat fire pit is so cool! Rob is the same way. Has everything he could ever want or need.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! That's a really cute present! estherdavison@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteBoudoir pics as a gift!!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha I kid
You should do a bed and breakfast in Vicksburg Mississippi. I sent my parents to Cedar Grove Inn one year - they loved it! Seriously if not for your anniversary, you guys should do that sometime.
My husband always wants a skateboard which I banned (he's too old and no to hospital visits for doing stupid shit) or a longboard.
Kyle loved Vicksburg when he visited. Thankfully we are going on block leave a few weeks after our anniversary so that might double as our gift to each other. :)
DeleteI think the fire pit is a great idea! It goes with the traditional gift of wool or copper. My sister is having the hardest time picking a first anniversary gift for her husband.
ReplyDeleteI love the fire thing, Thought about getting something similar for our backyard, but then settled for something "traditional" :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm still unsure haha!
DeleteBoth excellent choices! But think of all the date nights with the fire pit aka Smores!!
ReplyDeleteI love the fire pit idea! I was so lost as to what to get John, so luckily he mentioned the Apple Watch this year..
ReplyDeleteI think the fire pit idea is great!!! And I bet he'll love it so much!
ReplyDeleteI forgot we share the exact same anniversary!! I'm at a loss for gifts this year too. I think the fire pit is perfect! We're going to go away for the weekend so I think we'll plan something fun to do as our gifts to each other, I'm stumped, haha!
ReplyDeleteI think the fire pit looks cool. You guys could make s'mores!
ReplyDeleteYes!!! :)
DeleteThe fire pit is a great idea! Yes, I agree, just like someone else said, s'more time! I was able to have some recently at a couple's bbq and wedding shower! I love s'mores and had some even though I had creme bule' as well, which was my first time of having that....yummy!!!! Have a good weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the fire pit!
ReplyDeleteThe firepit is an awesome idea! I'm in the same boat for Father's Day. Or any holiday. SoldierMan is SO HARD to gift. MBTI has helped me a lot here, but still. Always a challenge.
