It is finally feeling like summer here in Central Louisiana and it's amazing. One of the best things about the warm weather (and living on post) is that our neighborhood center pool is finally open. It's walking distance from the house and it's rarely ever busy.
Kyle and I have been doing our best to take advantage of it and spend as much time as we can there.

It's nice to take an hour or so to just relax and not think about anything. I have to say that this is the one thing I missed the most about not living on post at Bliss, being able to readily access a pool is so nice. Plus it's nice to not be so pasty white haha, my tan is already coming along nicely so I am not complaining one bit.
It's going to be a great Summer!
What do you look forward to most about Summer?
Jealous you already have a tan going! I hope to work on mine a bit too this summer now that we have a neighborhood pool.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I love the pool. It's a summertime favorite!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered the pool on base! I'll probably never get to it, but it's good to know it is there.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely nice to have it easily accessible.
DeleteI have been trying to fit in as much pool time as possible but it's tough when it's sunny one second and raining the next, I don't know how to handle it! haha
ReplyDeleteThat is a huge perk when living on post. I think people forget about the community pools and just focus on the main pools and the splash park. Regardless, that is awesome to basically have the pool to yourself!
ReplyDeleteYes I think so too!!! I don't care for the splash park it's not as fun for the kids I think.
DeleteOh I need some pool time in my life. I miss that most about Ft. Hood. The pools were wonderful and opened until October! So wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI want some pool time! Sadly, I'm pretty sure I'd only end up red. :(
ReplyDeleteYeah my shoulders are a little crispy.
DeleteThe boys and I go so much that I'm sure the lifeguards are gonna eventually just wave us in rather than making me sign in, ha!
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah I think they know us now too.
DeleteThe one time I lived on base the pool was closed all summer. I live 20 minutes from base now so it isn't convenient.
ReplyDeleteLast summer we spent nearly every Sunday at the pool and it was probably my favorite day of the week. It's nice to just go and relax or be with friends and enjoy the warm weather and sunshine!!!
ReplyDeleteJealous of the tan!
ReplyDeleteMy whole family is so pale we are see-through. Waaah!
Ooh, that pool looks awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to go to a pool!!!! Ahhhh I miss incredibly warm weather!
ReplyDeleteThat pool looks so nice!! I love relaxing by the pool!
ReplyDeleteAhh, nice! I'm so bad about using my pool!! Need to get on it!
ReplyDelete<3 I'm glad you're enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI don't like swimming very much, but I am ALREADY super hot this year (it's 92 in Ohio... what the heck?!) so I have a feeling I'll be paying to hang out at a nearby pool often...
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful! We're expecting high temperatures again by Friday, so the kiddy pool may come out again, or I may even dare braving the actual pool with 3 kiddos :-)
ReplyDeleteDo it!!! :) It has been so worth it.
DeleteThat's one reason why i wished we lived on post- and access to the gyms! We live too far to go there on the reg :(
ReplyDeleteAh, that looks so nice!
ReplyDeleteI love heat and I love summer. I'm pretty happy the severe weather is gone. estherdavison@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteYes! Having a pool easy to access was my most-missed thing at Bliss, too. That, and Waffle House.
