Addiction

I have come to the conclusion that I have an addiction. I am addicted to Starbucks shaken iced black tea (unsweetened). I guess the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem lol. :)

Yum!!!! LOL!!

It's not really a problem but I realized that I was addicted when the lady at Starbucks has my drink ready as soon as she sees me get in line haha. Now here in Sierra Vista we don't have an free-standing Starbucks. We have them in the PX, Target and Fry's. I always go to the one in Target because they have a scanner (I refill a gift card on my phone, plus you can't go wrong with Starbucks and Target) and it's quick and easy. I can imagine that they see hundreds and hundreds of people a day so the fact that she remembers my face means that I am there far too often.

I'm not a coffee drinker at all so this is always what I get, it never changes. I am really going to miss this lady when we move (I should probably look at her name tag lol). The Starbucks in El Paso have a lot to live up to. :)

I hope you all have a great day! I'm off to start packing for my trip to Vegas.

  1. I don't have any bad drink habits... so everyone being addicted to Starbucks is very strange to me. Haha.

  2. You are just like my mom! Except her people are at Sonic, getting her diet coke ready the moment she drives up. She DEFINITELY has an addiction. She exchanges Christmas gifts regularly with some of the carhops. I'd say that's probably unhealthy. (diet coke consumption, not the relationships at Sonic lol)

  5. I'm not a coffee drinker either, so I always get these or java chip frappaccinos. I went through a phase in college where I would drive 20 minutes each way from campus to the closest Starbucks(seriously, Starbucks needs to think more and put them closer to colleges haha) EVERY DAY to get an iced tea.

  6. I love their tea! Sweetened, though, of course. If you haven't already, try their caramel apple cider. Delish!

  9. I love me some vanilla coke. Although the BEST one I've ever had was at the World of Coke in Vegas... they took normal coke and squirted in vanilla syrup. Oh my goodness was I in heaven. And growing up my family would get the exact same pizzas every Tuesday from Dominoes... we didn't realize how bad it was until my grandma came to stay with us kids while my parents went out of town. They told her to just order us a pizza instead of trying to cook, and when she called and gave them the address or phone number or whatever they told her our chicago cut thin crust pepperoni would be ready momentarily:) Kind of embarrassing for my mom... (it was my dad's mom) But don't worry, there are plenty of Starbucks here so you can take your pick!

  11. Have fun in Vegas! Also, that's SUCH good customer service. You should give that lady a good review or something. My fav at Starbucks is always the peppermint hot chocolate. It used to be the Green Tea Fraps, but then I decided to lay off the caffeine, haha.

  13. There is a drive through coffee stand by my work and the girl literally has my drink made for me before I get to the window. Yikes! (That reminds me, I need to tell her that I switch to an egg nog latte after Thanksgiving...)

  14. K-Cups...especially Green Mountain's Nantucket flavor...that's my drink addiction. I realized it a couple of years ago, and when the machine broke I swore I wouldn't get another. That last three.long.weeks. ;)

    Happy packing!

  18. It is funny you say that you can't go wrong with Starbucks and Target; I have had nearly a handful of bad coffee experiences there, the last time it happened I almost cried (not really, but it was REALLY sad). I had just about decided never to get my coffee at Target again, but I did and it was perfect...I did again and it was twice perfect. I guess that I won't give up on Target Starbucks just yet.

There is a "real" Starbucks just a parking lot and a half away from target, at Barnes and Noble, but I like getting my coffee at Target because of the unassuming environment - I always feel hurried and intimidated by the Starbucks crowd.

    :) Hope
