Retail Therapy

Let me just say that yesterday was not a good day for me. First, our freezer broke...definitely annoying but thankfully we have a deep freezer in the garage. Then we found out Kyle got bumped to the wait list for Ranger School (after he was already given a reservation), his BN commander has been making calls so hopefully he secures another spot in a few weeks. These may seem trivial but when you add in crazy hormones I was a mess lol.

To help ease the bad day vibes I treated myself to a little retail therapy. I am obsessed with the Old Navy outlet here. They were having some awesome sales so I picked up these gems.

I got these on Sunday when I ventured out, love them!

I also got these sandals from Rack Room Shoes (I am notorious for buying the same shoes in different colors lol)

I felt better by the time I got home and I was also able to finish all of my school work for the week.

Here is hoping today is better! :)

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

1 Week

I'm sure most of you remember that last summer we were lucky enough to have our niece, Kylie, here with us for 2 weeks. We decided that this year we will take both Kylie and Grayson for a week at the end of July! I am so excited to have them both here with us. With the likelihood of us moving next summer it will be a little harder to get them for an extended period of time.

We can't wait!!! :)

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Fun Times

This weekend was pretty awesome! It started out with me going to the movies on Friday afternoon to see Maleficent. It was AMAZING!!! Seriously, go see it haha.

That night Kyle was nice enough to make dinner which consisted of orange chicken, broccoli and brown rice. It was delicious!

Saturday we lounged around most of the morning until we headed off to see Jersey Boys at the Plaza Theater. OMG!!!! It blew my mind and was even better than I expected. Kyle even brought tissues because he knew I would need them. I have such a love for The Four Seasons (thanks to my Mom) and this show was outstanding.

Afterwards we had dinner at a local pizza place called Sparrows. Let me just say if you are ever in the El Paso area (or to some of my blogger friends that live here) you need to eat here. It was Chicago style deep dish pizza.....my mouth is watering just typing this haha.

Sunday morning we got up bright and early and headed off to New Mexico to run the Race for Care 5k. It was for National Cancer Survivor Day. I felt like I had my Angel on my shoulders and boy was she pushing me haha.

We were both so excited to find out that we had placed. I took 3rd in my age group and Kyle took 2nd in his. It was such a fun race and even while on clomid I still managed to gain a PR. :)

I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Day 5

Today I am finally on my last day of taking clomid for this cycle. Let me tell you the side effects this go around have been way worse than the first time.

I am constantly tired, irritable, emotional, hungry and of course when you add in body aches and headaches it makes for a wonderful combination haha.

Kyle as usual has been so sweet and understanding, he knows that none of this is something that I can control. He is truly a saint for dealing with me while we are going through all of this.

We are doing 3 cycles of clomid and fingers crossed that one cycle works! :)

In the meantime I will leave you with these:

Haha they are so true!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

The Weekend Is Here!

Am I the only one who thinks that this week flew by? The days just keep going by faster and faster.

I was so excited yesterday when I checked my email and was finally emailed our photo from the meet and greet with Kip Moore.

It was such a cool experience and I'm glad we have this to commemorate such a fun night.

I decided I would go to the movies by myself this afternoon. I have no issues going alone and I highly doubt it will be busy. I'm seeing this:

 Eeeekkkkk excited!!!!

Tomorrow we finally get to see:

I am ridiculously excited! My Mom and I would listen to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons all the time. It's going to bring back amazing memories for me.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

A Little Sunshine Never Hurt Anyone

Last week the awesome, Kelsey from Pardon My French tagged me with this sweet award.

1. What is your favorite fast food place?

I actually have 2. In N Out and Del Taco! I could live off these place but unfortunately El Paso has neither. Boo!

2. What is your dream vacation spot?

I have been dying to go back to Maui since I went in 2005. However, the Army and a few other snafus keep getting in our way.

3. What is your favorite household chore?

I really enjoying cleaning bathrooms, it's so weird.

4. What is one skill you wish you had?

I wish I knew a foreign language. I took two years of Spanish and nothing stuck.

5. Are you a fruit or veggie person?

I'm more of a veggie person, give me carrots and celery and I'll be happy.

6. What is your favorite beauty product?

I love my neutragena lip gloss. It does not make my lips feeling sticky and it has sunblock in it.

7. How long is too long to not wash your hair?

I can go 3-4 days, it really doesn't bother me to not wash it.

8. Would you ever want to re-new your vows?

We have talked about renewing our vows for our 10 year anniversary. I'm not really sure I want to go through all the hassle.

9. How tall are you?

Some days 5'4 and some days 5'3 lol

10. What is the best piece of advice anyone ever gave you?

My Mom always told us to just worry about ourselves. I find myself saying this all the time.

11. You just won a million dollars, what do you do first?

I would probably give some money to family.

The rules say that you should tag others and add new questions. However I am going to leave this open to anyone who wants to answer these same questions (because I think they are good ones!).

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Wordless Wednesday

There is nothing like a long run to make you feel better, the view doesn't hurt either!
