Shopping Fun

Over the weekend I decided it was time to pick up some new pieces for my wardrobe. As I'm getting older I'm noticing that I need pieces that can be versatile. I don't want to be stuck in t-shirts and jeans all the time. With all the meetings and events I attend on a regular basis I need to be somewhat dressed up. I have also fallen in love with blazers, I picked up a few of those as well.

I went to Old Navy, Ann Taylor and Target. I was able to find some great stuff that can dressed up or down. I also found a few pairs of black skinny dress pants, they are ridiculously comfortable!

I'm going to slowly keep adding new items, good thing Kyle doesn't care haha.

How often do you update your wardrobe?

Happy Thursday!

  2. I LOVE that grey dress!! I don't buy clothes very often simply because we cannot afford it, but my grandmother often will buy me a piece here and there. I've also jumped into the boat of feeling like my clothing should be more versatile too!

  3. Cute pieces! I go through spurts. I can't ever seem to gradually add pieces of clothing to my wardrobe. I end up realizing one day that I can't live in Nike and Underarmour running clothes all the time, and I go on a huge shopping spree. My husband hates it! lol.

  4. Ann Taylor is always a good choice, haha. And Mac always asks me why I buy new stuff. He doesn't care about the money, but he also doesn't understand that you can constantly update your wardrobe.

  5. Cute! I haven't updated my wardrobe in years. I have one pair of jeans and they fit horribly. One day I will update it, but for now I am stuck with the same ol' clothes.

  6. Great picks! I actually went shopping on V day with my hubby. I'm 5 months post partum yet I still can't fit back into my old clothes (Whoops!). Andy bought a few outfits a size up so I can wear them until I get back into my regular clothes. It will happen...eventually.

  13. I love the dress. I don't make a schedule to add up for my wardrobe but once I found something that i really like I won't say no especially if I have the budget.

  14. I'm simply not able to dress myself really nicely. I have a lucky hand sometimes, but when it comes to accessorize, etc., I'm totally lost. So my wardrobe totally consists of only staples and basics that I mix and match, playing it "safe" But I really love the pieces you have picked out, especially the dresses!

  15. I have no idea how to dress myself. Right after college, I was active duty so I didn't really need civilian clothes, 2 years off active duty and I still wear jeans and t-shirts most days! All those clothes are super cute though, I love the pants!

  18. So cute! I usually don't decide to update, clothes seem to be a go-to gift when people are shopping for me so that's generally when my wardrobe gets updated.

  19. Well I worked in retail for 5 years so I updated constantly, and still do. But LOFT has been having some crazy sales lately that I haven't been able to resist! BTW I'm in love w/ the blazer look too, even though I have to wear them for work...

  21. Great buys! I'm excited to finally have a shopping day this weekend. I plan to visit Ann Taylor and Old Navy myself. Hope I can find some cute stuff on the cheap! I don't seem to shop very often anymore. Maybe once every 4-6 months.

  22. I don't update my wardrobe nearly enough! I keep checking Target, but they still have winter stuff. WTF?! It's not even cold here. I need to get better at buying key pieces and being able to mix and match them.

  26. I've been slowly updating the last two years, trying to find more age appropriate stuff, but luckily, most of my wardrobe is classic and lasts. Where'd you get the black skinnies? I'm always looking for comfortable ones!

  27. Those are cute!
I have fashion issues so I will probably just be stuck in jeans and shirts forever. :/
