It is no secret that I love tattoos, I have 6 but if you looked at me you would have no idea haha. It has been 3 years since I got my last one and I have been itching for a new one. All of my tattoos have a meaning behind it and I do not want to get something just for the hell of it.
I have throwing around a few ideas and here is what I'm hoping to get:
This tattoo would be a mixture of several elements. I want to honor and remember the 5 precious babies that we have lost. During all of my pregnancies I referred to them as sweet pea. So I want 5 sweet pea flowers with the pregnancy loss ribbon and a few butterflies incorporated together.
This one would be representing the month I was born...this is the larkspur fairy. The larkspur is the flower of July. :)
I think this one is self explanatory and will probably happen within the next two weeks. I want a permanent way to remember our first marathon.
I'm excited to complete all of these within the next year or so. :)
Hope you all have an amazing weekend!
I am ready for another tattoo as well! I really want to get the adoption symbol with the three important dates of James adoption incorporated!
ReplyDeleteI had no clue the larkspur was the flower of July. It's my birth month too. They all look nice.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the first one representing your losses. What a beautiful tribute.
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe an angel holding a crown of five sweet pea flowers?
ReplyDeleteLove the sweet pea idea!!
ReplyDelete:) Thanks Kodie! I'm excited to get it done.
DeleteLove the idea but ugh the pain of needles and I'm a veteran of infertility needles! Just couldn't do it.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of sweet pea flowers.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the idea for the tattoo to remember your babes. Are you gonna post pics of all your other tattoos??? I'd love to see them!
ReplyDeleteButterfly's symbolize new beginnings so I am partial to them but but they are all lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuch meaningful things to get as tattoos! Love 'em! :)
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son loves tatts too. :) You've selected some pretty ones. I like that they have meaning behind them.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the first tattoo. If you have a motive, please share! I got the tattoo of a lily back when I was in college, because it's my favorite flower. Now that we have our Lily and a Violet, I want to get a tattoo of a violet as well. Still waiting to find out wether this baby is a boy or a girl to see if we need to get yet another flower tattoo. Do you have a tattoo artist of choice or are you going to different studios? All of mine were done by the same guy, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my skin with a needle and ink :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat are your tattoos of? I thought that I would never get another one, its been 8 years since my last one and then one day I saw that quote and it ended up on my arm about 2 weeks ago. I forgot how bad it hurt!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the first idea! I love sweet peas!
ReplyDelete:) I can't wait to get it!
Deletethe sweet pea idea is wonderful! I was born in July too, I always thought the flower was Lilly! Lol

ReplyDeletegreat ideas! i can't wait to get another when we're back stateside. :)
ReplyDeleteGettin' very creative! I have six as well, but like you, they are easy to hide!
ReplyDeleteI am going to get 26.2 also, just not sure where or what design!! I cannot WAIT to hear how the marathon went! I am so proud of you!
ReplyDeleteLove these ideas! I only have one tattoo..that's enough for me. I think it's great when they have meaning. What are your other tattoos of?
ReplyDeleteLove them all! I'm itching for a new tattoo and have been for years now. I only have one, but know of at least two that I want BADLY.
ReplyDeleteThat first one brought tears to my eyes. I think about you often especially during this time in my life.
