'Tis The Season!

I know we are still a month and a half away from Christmas but I have already started my Christmas card planning. I am slowly updating my address lists (yes I have 2; one is family and one is friends), it looks like this year we will be sending close to 130 cards.

I have narrowed it down to 2 designs. What do you guys think?

Do you send out Christmas cards? If so, do you aim for traditional handwritten cards or photo cards?

Happy Thursday!

  1. I wrote mine and they are waiting to get sent out, lol. I always try and do it early so they don't feel like a burden when things get crazy! I really like the second card!!! 130 that is a lot of cards!!!!

  2. I am looking forward to this season! Its my favorite! We just need to get a good family photo taken to put on our cards! But 130?! Wow -- thats a lot of work!

  3. love them both!! We send out cards, the photo cards because they always come out looking so nice and easy to send out! I even make sure to include my fur-babies in the cards. :) hehehe

  5. I like the first one. We don't send out Christmas cards because we're both so busy and there's already so much going on during the holidays. Christmas cards have never been high on the priority list for me. D keeps asking us if we can start doing Christmas cards and I tell him that if he wants to do them, he gets to do them but he never does. So it must not be that important to him either, lol.

  6. Love the first one! I'm all about the photo cards. I would much rather get a photo of everyone in someone's family rather than just a card with a signature. It just seems more personal!

  7. I like the top one. We exchange cards at our church. It is awesome because you save on postage and still get to give people cards. I was working on my list of others I need to mail to though. Trying to figure out how many cards to order.

  8. I like the bottom one. And that is a lot of cards!!! I stopped mailing cards out, I send out in e-mail and post to social media. :) I'm lazy. LOL

  9. I love the first one! I generally do the photo cards and some years pull it together enough to include a "Year in the Life" type of letter but that doesn't happen all that often!

  10. I like both of them. In the past my family has sent out traditional cards, but this year when we went down to the beach in October we took a family picture out on the beach so we are doing a photo card this year. Though we don't have nearly 130 cards, it's more like 50 or so...

  11. I've been working on my list also, since our Christmas cards will also be a sort of moving announcement. I need to start early or I'll never get them sent.
I like the top one best!

  12. 130 cards?? That's insane. But I like them both. I don't think you can go wrong! :)

  13. I vote for the bottom one. I cannot believe you send out 130 cards! I think we send out about 40, but I don't send that many friends. You are much nicer than me :) haha

  14. If I didn't have a million things going on right now, I would totally be planning holiday cards too!! It's a little weird bc this is my first Christmas married, but also first Christmas away from my husband since we've been together. So, should I make our holiday cards from us? I'm a little unsure!

  16. I like them both! I love sending out photo cards now that I have kids. I think they are more meaningful than just a card with my signature, plus who doesn't like seeing cute kids?

  17. I just ordered ours yesterday! I like the top one but both are really cute! :)

  18. I like the first design. I do traditional hand written cards. I used to send out dozens of cards a year, now I'm down to about an even dozen only.

  19. I like both designs! Your not to early. I'm planning to take our christmas pictures next week. I always do it in november so we dont have to rush and deal with the crowd in december. Plus next month I plan to take maternity pictures.

  20. I like both of thee! I love that they both say "Merry Christmas' on them. I am big with my Christmas cards saying that. I have been boring in years past & get store bought cards. I need to step it up and get something cute...more personal. Not his year though. Too much house stuff going on. I will be lucky to get anything out.

  21. There will be a few people who will receive hand-written cards and a picture. Most, however, are going to receive a photo card ;-)

  22. I know, Christmas is coming soon. I want to send out photos too but not decided if I'll do photo cards or not. Still have cards i bought last year or so to send. Decisions. I thought that once we didn't have children we'd not send out cards with photos. But it always seems we get a fun photo taken on vacation and want to share it. Why not? Good gift, huh!? Hugs!

  23. Tough choice! I like both designs. I'm forgoing my Christmas cards this year in exchange for mailing out graduation announcements :)

  24. i really like the top one! and you are crazy with 130 cards! i've been chopping down our list every year, haha.

  25. The first photo card is the cutest in my opinion. I do not send christmas cards but I'd love to do photo cards. My family is nontraditional and I would feel a little weird sending the photo card out with my, hubby, and two cats. People don't consider cats family members but I do. So, no I do not send out Christmas cards but I love Christmas! Esther Norine Designs
