The Downside

The downside to this military life is always saying goodbye to family. I am waiting for my flight back to El Paso right now and I always get sad when I have to leave my family. Seeing my niece cry saying she doesn't want me to leave and my Dad crying while telling me he is proud of me breaks my heart. I always miss them but I am ready to get back home to Kyle and our routine.

See ya later Vegas be back soon!

  1. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you! I cry every time I go back to college. Goodbyes are the worst.

  5. It's so hard saying bye to family. Usually once my family leaves I start a new countdown of when I'll see them next. It helps...sometimes. Hugs friend!

  8. Saying goodbye to my family for the first time was one of the saddest days of my life! My little sister and I are best friends. We did anything and everything together...even with the 12 years age gap we are like two peas in a pod. Leaving her was the worst. We held each other and cried for hours the day I left. Miss her so much!

  11. Ugh that would be so hard. It takes a special person to be in the military and it takes special people to stay strong with their loved ones that are active in the military. BIG HUGS!!!
