Full Calendar

I made it safely back to El Paso last night...my flight was delayed over an hour but it could have been worse. I have decided that the next time I go to Vegas, I'm driving the 12 hours.

Now that I'm back, it's full steam ahead with FRG meetings/events. My calendar is filled up and I'm pretty happy about that. We are in the process of planning a company organizational for our soldiers and families next week. Thankfully it's coming together nicely without too many hiccups or roadblocks. Let just hope it stays that way. We have a great group of soldiers and volunteers that are willing to do anything to help.

With with upcoming deployment comes getting paperwork in order, so that is on my list of things to get done. As much as I hate it, it has to be done. Hopefully we can get it done before Kyle leaves for more training.

The one thing I have been dreading these last few weeks is my dentist appointment today. I will be honest and say that I haven't been in a few years. My last experience in NC was awful and I've been putting it off. I'm praying for a good experience, because I don't think I could take another bad one.

Hope you all have a great weekend, we are running an 8k tomorrow for a great local cause. Can't wait!!

Happy Friday.

  2. Such a boring drive to Vegas but when you look at the airline hassles sometimes ... absolutely worth it. I type this as I sit in the airport waiting to head to Philly ... AGAIN!
It's 4am and the computers were down and it's been mayhem.
Thankfully I was smart and had checked in already.

  3. I'm a dental phobe, and I actually worked for a dentist's office for a spell. I will only go to one dentist, and he's been seeing me for like 15 years, so I understand! Try bringing your ipod and letting them know you're uneasy about things. Blocking out the sound will help keep you calmer and distracted :)

  5. Hope the dental appointment goes well! I just went this past year for the first time in seven (7! yikes!) years. Only a few "baby" cavities (the dentist's words, not mine). Don't be scared! :)

  14. It's embarrassing how long it's been since I went to the dentist. It's the one thing I'm literally afraid of.

  16. Hope you have a good experience at the dentist. I just had all the maintenance work finished a few weeks ago after not having seen a dentist for over 3 years.

Glad your busy and back in your routine, but don't overdo it! Sad you got to do your paperwork, but I know how important it is. I felt weird when we had the appointment to sign Richard's life insurance over to me. Glad we never had to do the PoA's though..

  17. I hope the dentist is as painless as possible! It's never fun. Hope you and the mister get some quality bonding time in between all the business!

  18. It's good to be busy before deployment because it keeps your mind off, but then it sucks because time goes by too fast. God luck at the dentist!

  19. Hi Jen! Could you possibly email me at failsweetly@gmail.com? I have some questions to ask you about a project I'm doing for military families. I was hoping you could answer them =/ haha Thanks a bunch!

  20. I hope your appointment went well. I went to the same dentist for years and years and thought he was the greatest (which h was). When we moved I had to find a new doctor which made me nervous. I smashed into his tray of tools while getting into the chair on one of my first visits so I made a great first impression. ;)
