Happy Monday! I swear it feels like time if flying by, I can't believe that we are already half-way through this month.
For the last week or so we have been doing a lot of prepping for the upcoming move. We tackled the garage last week and it was nice to just get rid of things. I made Kyle go through his closet and I tackled mine and E's. These bags are full of clothes just from my closet. There are 2 other ones not even pictured. I also gave away my maternity clothes, it felt nice to pass those along to those who need them. It was also nice to get a lot of things organized. We have so many plastic totes in the garage that were open and it was driving me absolutely crazy. I feel like this move is sneaking on us quickly, June will be here before we know it.
I've also started getting all of the documentation we need to submit for housing when the time comes. Emma and Fishy were taken to get updated on shots, have copies of all the necessary documents, and the application is filled out. All we need is Kyle's orders. It feels good to be prepared.

I have also been reworking our budget that I had created at the beginning of the year. I knew that I would make tweaks once we received our tax return. That came in last week and we were able to make a significant principle payment on my car and with the new budget we can have it paid off in October instead of December, which is amazing!
I decided last week that Emersyn, Emma, and I would head down to Florida. So we hopped in the car on Friday and we have been enjoying time with my family. It has been awesome hanging out with everyone. My sister and I went shopping and to the movies yesterday which was a lot of fun. E gets lots of attention and love which is so fun to watch.
Kyle has been really busy with work as usual. It's a bummer but it makes us even more excited for our time in Kansas. He will have a relaxed schedule for the most part and it is going to be so nice to have more time together as a family. I have started researching races there and I already have a long list haha. He is such a good sport about that stuff, he just nods and smiles.
Not much else is happening around here, just keeping busy and enjoying life the best we can!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
Aww, glad you're enjoying time in Florida with your family... And yay to Kyle having a more relaxed schedule when you guys move..!!
ReplyDeleteI have been purging too, it is soo satisfying!
Great job getting rid of stuff. I love doing that periodically. I feel like we need to do that already and we just moved in it. You accumulate things so quickly!
ReplyDeleteYou really do, it's crazy!
DeleteGood idea to get ahead of the moving game! It will be here before you know it. PCS dates always come much quicker than you expect. Glad you made time for a little FL trip. We are there next week :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're way ahead of this move! I feel like I leave everything til the last second, haha
ReplyDeleteHooray for getting lots of purging done in anticipation of your move! I know that I need to do that more often because my closet is way to full of clothes that I don't even wear anymore! Also spontaneous trips really are the best, especially when it means that you get to spend time with people that you love!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the budget!! That's such a great feeling!! Do you know where you guys are moving next!? We PC in the summer :)
ReplyDeleteI just went through my clothes and the girls last week!
ReplyDeleteYay! That is so exciting about the car being paid off so soon! Have fun with your family!
ReplyDeleteYay, glad you are getting some family and Florida time in before the move!
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to visit Florida one day. Never been despite being kind of close to it
ReplyDeleteIt really is an awesome place!
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day!!
ReplyDeleteSame to you!!! :)
DeleteGreat job getting ready for the move! You seem super organized which helps so much. I think it helps a lot to purge before you move but I always end up procrastinating and doing it when I get to my next place. I am so excited for Kyle to have a more relaxed schedule in Kansas. We just went from Nick having a relaxed schedule to a demanding one and while I am getting used to it, it's so hard!
ReplyDeleteI'm itching to purge stuff and we're not even moving yet!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting ready for your move!! :-) And yay for getting time in Florida. I'm pretty jealous!
ReplyDeleteYAY for time with family. I am right there with you with the downsizing, it always feels good when moving to lighten the load.
ReplyDeleteFamily time is the best! :) Yes!!! It feels so nice to get rid of things.
DeleteSo Exciting! The family time is by far the best thing about being here. The running scene isn't all that great unless you want to drive at least 45 minutes for races. We were sad about that the most. We are excited to get back to a real place with more available. Hope you enjoy running hills! HA
ReplyDeleteUgghhh, I need to do a pre-move purge. I have zero motivation to do anything because we have no idea where or when we're moving, haha.
