Thoughts on Thursday

I can't believe it's already June 2nd, this year is flying by. I feel like I say that every year but it's definitely true.

I have been enjoying this week off from school, it's always nice when there is a break between classes. However, I was bounced back to reality when my books showed up yesterday haha. Personality and Counseling Theories and Physiological Psychology should be fun right?! :/

Everyday I wake up to these two staring at me, I wonder if they are judging me for sleeping late or if they are just happy to see me lol.

I did my glucose test on Tuesday and honestly wonder why people make such a big deal about it. The drink was actually pretty good and the time went by quickly. I passed which is even better.

Military healthcare may not be perfect but I am grateful that they 100% paid for a breast pump. Thanks, Tricare!

We are 19 days away from our 8th wedding anniversary and I am absolutely clueless as to what to get Kyle, I have a feeling at some point we will both agree to not get gifts. I really can't believe it has been almost 8 years since our names were in lights. ;)

Happy Thursday, Everyone!

  1. Travis and My anniversary just passed and with everything going on we didn't get each other gifts or even go out together. Sometimes it just happens that way.

  2. Yay for passing your glucose test and getting the free pump! I was thankful to get one this time around. They didn't do that when I had Grace.

  3. Aww, they're just happy you're up to play! I work in healthcare, and while Tricare isn't perfect, it is pretty good! Much better than mine, and I am employed by the ins company! LOL

  4. Aw your pets are always there and fun to wonder what they're actually thinking! Phil and I go out together for our anniversary to eat. Sometimes an overnight stay. That's our gift to each other. Trying to think of a special place for our 40th next year. I want a cruise to Alaska but not sure or win a trip.

  5. I took the glucose test a few years ago and I liked the drink! And it's not like you have to drink a quart of it. I can think of much worse things in terms of tests.

  8. I didn't love the glucose drink, but it wasn't really as bad as I was expecting. Plus, they gave it to me cold, which definitely helped! So thankful that Tricare started covering breast pumps!

  12. LOVE that Tricare now covers breast pumps, and the best ones! I paid over $200 for the same one when I had Hadley, but then I got a brand new one to use with Sadie while in the hospital! So nice! Since I was an exclusive pumper with Hadley, I definitely wore it out and am thankful for my new one now!

  13. Whoo! I don't know why people freak out about the glucose test either, it was pretty easy and I always just bring a book. An hour with the kids? Freedom! LOL I can't wait to get my pump, FINALLY Tricare has gotten with the program.

  14. Happy early anniversary!! My oldest son had three classes left to get his Associates (he started back when he got out of the military). He's taking them all in the summer term. Macro Economics, Statistics and Spanish II. Crazy in a long term, but down right 'what???' in a short-term, lol. Needless to say he's not getting a lot of free time this semester. ;)

  15. Great pump! I was so bummed to never have a chance to qualify for the free one, but I purchased the same one with V and it last through all three girls! I didn't mind the waiting for the test, but on man! I had such a hard time drinking the juice! I've heard it varies with which flavor you get.

  16. I am glad they give breast pumps now. They weren't doing it when I had Meeghan, and I exclusively pumped with her. I was happy my pump lasted as long as it did so I didn't have to buy another one.

  17. I hated the glucose test because our lab was inside the base hospital, which is a building from the 1940s (concrete block, really), so there was no wifi or even cell reception AT ALL. And it's always packed, so it was very tough to focus enough to read a book with 20+ people talking, haha.

  18. I didn't find the glucose test that bad. I love that they now do free breast pumps and all you have to do is ask for a Rx for it. It gives people a better quality pump then some can afford and therefor a better shot a successful Breastfeeding/pumping if they choose to go that direction.
