Some Thoughts

Emma and I spent most of the weekend like this, bundled up in blankets on the couch. This darling baby of ours sure likes to make his/her presence known. I was however able to get some homework done and that was the extent of my productive behavior haha.

Speaking of this precious little one, Kyle had his first followup appointment for his surgery last week. Now we assumed it had worked because surprise I'm pregnant but we didn't know the numbers and if it truly had an impact. Kyle sat down with his doctor and gave her the news, he said her eyes got really big and a huge smile on her face. Then she did the math and looked at his current numbers, his motility was greatly impacted in a positive way and we are are 99.9% sure that this surgery is what made this miracle happen! Words cannot describe how grateful we are for his doctor and that she finally was able to figure this all out. We owe her so much!

On a completely unrelated note I started watching Making A Murderer on Netflix.

I am only a few episodes in right now and my mind is blown, I really have no idea what to think. I finish every episode experiencing a wide range of emotions and I do not know how to process them. It's intense, horrifying, sad, angering, and heartbreaking all at the same time.

Kyle goes back into the field this week so I am sure I will finish it up by the weekend.

Not much else is happening in our neck of the woods, it's pretty quiet for the most part. I am venturing out to a Change of Command with Kyle tomorrow so hopefully that goes well.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. Okay so we tried to watch Making a Murderer and I could. not. get. into. it!! I think I'm the only person on the planet that feels this way, because people have raved about it. I felt bored -- wtf?! On a much, much happier note -- HOORAY for Kyle's surgery. I'm seriously so happy for the both of you!

  4. We loved Making a Murderer! That's awesome about his doctor's appointment! Our RE and OB were both surprised about us because of Tyler's numbers (his morphology was the biggest issue), but I truly believe it was from the herbal supplements we both took for a few months to give our bodies a boost. So happy for you guys and this little miracle!

  5. So glad you found a doctor who was able to figure out what needed to be fixed! Amazing what medicine can do these days.

Making a Murderer is SUCH an emotional roller coaster! We could only watch 1 per day so we didn't get overwhelmed, lol.

  7. I was just saying to my DH the other day that the surgery must have helped. So glad for your little miracle. Not sure if you remember much about my blogging during my pregnancy but I too was sick a lot. I gained a grand total of 3 pounds for the baby. But then again I started out overweight.
