I feel like I haven't done a proper update (besides baby updates, which I will never get tired of lol) on what is going on in our lives.
*I am in week 7 of my statistics class and I am so glad! This class has kicked my butt and all I have left is a 12 page paper that I need to get started on. I am sure it will go right down to the wire but I'll get it done.
*Kyle is back in the field but we are so thankful that in a few months he will be changing jobs. You know what that means?! No more time in the field! It has been a long 13 months and it will be nice to have more time together.
*I am heading to Florida at the beginning of February to see my sister and the kiddos, it will be nice to see them for a week.
*I am putting together a small list of races that I want to complete over the next few months. Thankfully our local area has a few 5k's that are happening, the upside is that I can walk them if I'm not feeling great.
*Emma and I have been trying to go on more walks lately, we have been lucky with our weather. It's been sunny and in the 50's lately. However, today Emma was faced with something she has never seen before:
Horses! Fort Polk has approximately 100 wild horses that roam the area, typically they stay in the training areas but lately they have been venturing out into more populated areas. Emma had a nervous breakdown and was barking and howling haha.
*I feel like I am finally getting back into a flow after the holidays. The house is back in order and now it's time to take care of all the adult things lol like vehicle maintenance, etc. Cheers to being an adult!
I hope you all had a great weekend!!! :)
Those horses blew my mind! I told my husband about them and he was like "duh, everyone knows about them!" Except me apparently, LOL
ReplyDeleteOoh, I don't envy you on the Statistics! That's awesome that you'll get to spend more time with your man..! That's so neat that there are wild horses roaming around!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better lady!!
ReplyDeleteOmg the pugs love horses!! Lol
Thank you!!! :) Some days are better than others haha.
DeleteCheers to races and Kyle not having to go in the field so much, that is very exciting!
ReplyDeleteThose wild horses are amazing!! And have a great time visiting your sister - I bet her kiddos are so excited to get a baby cousin :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh how crazy are the horses?!! So cool!
ReplyDeleteI showed the photo of the horses to Andy last night and he was like "Yup" LOL.
ReplyDeleteHeyyy!! I've been MIA for quite some time and when I read the first line of this post my heart was filled with SO much happiness!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am over the moon excited for you!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteYAY for the changing job! Those horses are so very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for him to be home more!
DeleteBaxter would have lost his mind too! Glad to hear statistics is almost over (that was a tough one for me too) and that Kyle will be home more!
ReplyDeleteThanks friend!!!
DeleteI bet you love how close you are to your sister and can visit her frequently! That is so awesome! Good luck with your paper. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to see those horses.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that paper!
Thanks friend! I still haven't started on it, yikes!
DeleteSo glad to hear that things are going well... and I will never get over those horses. How random and I'd seriously die seeing them everywhere.
ReplyDeleteCaspian lost his mind over the weekend when we stopped a moose on the trial. He went from a deep bark to running and hiding behind Chris! ha!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see those wild horses! I bet they are beautiful. Enjoy your walks!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome are the wild horses?! I am so glad Kyle will be out of the field! Thinking of you, and hope you are feeling great!
ReplyDeleteWild horses! That's so crazy!!
ReplyDeleteThe nice thing is, Emma is a good dog for stroller walking :) I've only tried (by myself) with the boys once. It went *okay* but if they ever really decided to rebel on me, I'd be at their mercy. So they have to stay home :(
My dog really hates horses too! When she was a puppy, we had a security officer who would ride on horseback, and she would go nuts! 100 wild horses is a lot!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny about the horses. Well, not for Emma... but you know what I mean. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that the horses are right there in the neighborhoods!! You are so kick ass for continuing to do races!!
ReplyDeleteWild horses?!??! I'd LOVE to live in a place with wild horses!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIm so envious! I always heard of the horses, but they NEVER came in the housing areas! Awesome!
