Quick Update

I feel like I haven't really written a good post lately. I figured I would just update you on things going on in the Smith household.

*I'm knee deep in FRG craziness, not just with our company but the fact that our battalion commander has decided to consolidate all the FRG's. I will therefore be in charge of 5 company FRG's.

*Yesterday I completed my 2nd stockpile trip. I got all of this for $89 and saved $45:

*I'm halfway through my goal of running 50 miles this month. I may not hit it because of vacation but I know I will be close.

*I'm excited because it looks like I get to bring my niece back with me for a week after my trip to Vegas.

*I successfully made cake batter ice cream yesterday, all I can say is YUM:

*I haven't talked about our infertility journey lately, we are still trying and trucking along.

*I booked our dolphin encounter and penguin encounter for SeaWorld last night. Beyond excited!

That's pretty much all that is going on with us right now, we are winding down the week and getting ready for vacation.

I hope you all have an awesome day!

  2. Dolphins and penguins? So jealous!
Consolidated FRG's? WHAT???? You poor thing. I hope there are other leaders that are willing to help you. I have never heard of that happening before.
How exciting to get to bring your niece home. I am getting my niece a week, and then my nephew for a week at the end of the month. It's going to be crazy! I am excited.

How many miles are you at? I might set a goal for July...

  6. Is the battalion commander smoking something? Combining FRGs is a headache for everyone involved.

  10. The dolphin and penguin encounter sounds like so much fun! They have a place here you can swim with the dolphins and I cant wait to do that, it sure beats swimming with sharks ;) I had cake batter frozen yogurt the other day and it was seriously one of the best things I have ever tried, I went back 2 days later and nope, they had a new flavor in :(

  12. I'm super impressed with your 50 mile running goal. Even if you don't fully accomplish it, that's HUGE in my book!

  13. Our FRG consolidated too. Now it is just crazy. With less than a year left here I'm not sure I want to an integral part of the FRG here as I need time for other things.

  15. I don't even eat ice cream, but I've been wanting it lately, despite knowing the havoc it will wreak on my stomach...haha.

  16. The ice cream looks SO good! Do you have an ice cream machine or do you just freeze in the freezer? Keeping my fingers crossed that you make the 50 miles. I ran one mile or so today, inching my way toward being able to run a 10k in fall..
