Back To Normal

Things have been busy since Kyle went back to work on Monday. We are still getting FRG stuff worked out, right now we have a battalion family day to look forward to next Tuesday. It should be a great time for soldiers and their families. I will make sure I get lots of pictures since Kyle is participating in both the dunk tank and pie in the face fundraisers.

I know a few weeks ago I posted a picture of my stockpile that I have been acquiring. I finally got plastic shelving to organize it all and I'm happy how it turned out:

We should not have to buy any more of this stuff for a long time, it will help with all the upcoming training Kyle has. He can grab what he needs and not worry about running out.

I did do a little baking a few days ago and made these delicious chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches:

YUM!!! I definitely need to be careful with these and not eat them all.

Hope you all have a great day!

  1. Oh wow - those chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches were my weakness in college. Probably how I gained my freshman fifteen. ;)

  3. The ice cream sandwich sugar cookies I made for Memorial Day were one of the best things ever...I had to hide them in the freezer!

I was the "radical" FRG leader who not only did a pie-in-the-face fundraiser at one of our picnics, but we had kegs and sold beer mugs to raise money.

  9. What a cute little stock pile ~ still think you are a long ways from some of the people I have seen on TV but it's a nice start! LOL
And yes to the ice cream sandwich. Can we just be neighbors already? Geez!

  10. Oh my goodness, the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches look so yummie. I might just bake some more cookies with the girls this weekend and make ice cream sandwiches, just in case it gets warm again here!

Can't wait for the dunk tank pictures. The graduating class the year before us got one for the teachers, it was glorious. We tossed the cream pies though!

  14. good stockpile. I keep our stuff pretty well stocked when I find good sales and mixed with coupons is even better. Oh yum! Homemade ice cream sandwich. I'd like one with chocolate ice cream in the middle. I'm gonna try that some day. Need to go backwards and read a couple of vacation posts. Been busy myself and not all caught up on reading my friends' blogs. Have a good weekend!
(P/S Just went to our Relay for Life survivor dessert this evening. I'm on Relay for Life committee and so went there for a bit after work. There were two people that were survivors, one 32 year and another 34. That's awesome. Just thought of that when I saw your purple ribbon, to the right....sorry for your mom's passing due to cancer. Sigh! Hugs!)

  18. Do you use coupons to stockpile? If so, will you do a post about couponing?? Your stockpile seems to have more "usable" stuff than what I see on TV shows about coupons, haha! Also, that ice cream sandwich looks AMAZING. I would eat them all for sure.

  26. Yum that sammich looks good! I stockpiled while Will was deployed so that I wouldn't have to waste time shopping for that stuff while he's home, and then now with the impending move we probably aren't going to use it all. Go figure!
