Running with Soldiers

One of the things that I love about Fort Bliss is how family oriented they are. Kyle came home yesterday and asked me if I wanted to participate in the Division Run (the entire post will be running it) today. My first response was "Umm isn't that just for soldiers?" He proceeded to tell me that the commanding general invites all the families to participate in the run. I think it's absolutely amazing, this would have never happened at Fort Bragg.

(This was taken at Bragg in 2011)

This picture gives you an idea of what a division run looks like, sooo many soldiers haha. It's a 3.4 mile run but that's ok because it will be a great time running with Kyle's company. Britt from Aviation of Love will be running it with her husband as well. We are going to meet up afterwards and hang out for a bit while running errands. :)

I hope you all have a great day!!

  1. That's good that you have the opportunity to participate in all the activities. I've yet to get a chance. Normally my husband has to work or he's on fast cruise/sea trials.

  4. Cool. J would never have invited me to something like that. He probably thinks I'm too slow...ALTHOUGH...I outran him this last weekend! Getting out of the Army has altered his stamina ;)

  10. Can you imagine how many people would be involved if Bragg allowed families? The last division run already had like 20,000 soldiers, haha. That would be beyond chaos.

  11. The base I am at is not very family friendly. They're not anti-family, but I think that's par for the course at Air Bases. I sure miss my Army Family.
