Do I Have To?!

Today is my busiest day of the week...I really just want to crawl back into bed and pull the covers over my head haha.

Haha, I wish! :)

I have a Care Team training class at 9am, if you aren't familiar with Care Team it basically means that if there is a death of a soldier/or family member within a unit there is a designated group of spouses that can help the families with whatever they may need. I think this training is amazing and necessary. I always encourage people to take it so they know how to deal with these type of situations.

After my class I am FINALLY getting my hair done. I have been putting this off for so long, it was suppose to happen in March but I didn't have the time while in Vegas. I can't wait to post a picture of how it turns out.

Tonight, I will be attending an FRG leader seminar on post, it will be a chance to meet other FRG leaders and trade tips/tricks to have a successful FRG. I'm pretty excited about it.

It's supposed to be a lot cooler today than it has been so maybe I can sneak a run in at some point. :)

I hope you all have an amazing day!

  8. That's really great of you to be on Care Team. A crazy thing is that one of the expats here was struck by a car on his bicycle last night and was killed instantly. His wife is like me... here in Africa with no other family around. I could only imagine what she's going through, and the embassy doesn't have anything like that for spouses here. I don't feel like I know her well enough to take the initiative myself, especially without any sort of Care Team type of training. :(

  10. That is a busy day! Good luck getting it all in and hopefully not feeling exhausted by the end. I had the same thought about running with the cooler weather, but I'm not a fan of all the wind + dirt. I'll probably hit the pavement for at least a few miles though; the low temperatures are too good to pass up!

  18. I agree, the training is important. Hope that you'll never need it, but if something happens, it's best that there are a few people who have resources. Enjoy your day and can't wait for the new hair pictures!!

  21. The FRG seminar sounds like an amazing event!! You always get to go to the coolest stuff! We've never had anything like that. I hope the training goes well also. I always hate that one, but you're right, absolutely everyone should do it. Even just to learn the information and processes.

  22. A wife in Christopher's unit just died and they're all trying to figure out how to help the soldier/new widower. I don't know if there's a Care Team set up here (they're slightly unorganized!) but I'll tell Christopher he should look into it!
