We had our FRG (family readiness group, for those that don't know) meeting last and it went really well! Kyle and I were introduced to the soldiers and families. Some soldiers we already knew but it was nice to meet more spouses. It was a great turn out and after the meeting I was officially handed over the reigns of the FRG. YAY!!! I am ridiculously excited about this, I am optimistic that this FRG will be successful.
I have Day 2 of my training today and it has been really helpful and amazing. I am impressed with the way these classes are put together. It makes the 5 1/2 hours of class enjoyable.
Happy Wednesday everyone!
So glad you're in charge... our FRG was terrible when my dad was deployed. The lady was actually cheating on her husband the entire time! :(

ReplyDeleteYAY! I'm so happy for you. Personally I'm not a fan of the FRG's we've had, so I'm jealous that other people get YOU for the FRG leader. You're so excited and involved, that I know if ANYONE can run an FRG the way they're SUPPOSED to be run, it's you!
ReplyDeleteI love your positivity, have an awesome week!

ReplyDeleteC o n g r a t u l a t i o n s ! Lucky ladies, I know you'lll be great!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and hope you do well and sure that it will be good for the ladies that are there along their husbands, serving in different capacities. Hopefully there's something for the men that are spouses of wives that are serving in the Army as well. I think the Army is the only service that has FRG? Take care and way to go...so proud of you! Hugs!
