Parasailing Anyone?!

I was going through my pictures yesterday (I'm going to create a scrapbook of some of our best trips/adventures) and found pictures of when we went parasailing in Myrtle Beach back in early 2011. I knew I had to share them.

The experience was absolutely incredible! We were 1500 feet up in the air over the Atlantic Ocean and about 5 miles from the beach. The best part was being able to see the sea turtles swimming around. They even dipped us in the water which was great.

I'm so glad we had the opportunity to do this, I'm somewhat afraid of heights and this didn't bother me. It was an incredible experience. The guys on the boat took pictures for us and we got a disc of 20 pictures. If you ever have the chance to do it, it's a must!

Have you ever gone parasailing?! If not, would you want to?

Happy Thursday!

  1. That looks like so much fun! I've always wanted to parasail. My husband refuses. He hates heights!!! Hope you had a blast.

  5. I've done it a few times and it's always so peaceful up there. You can barely hear anything! I just get nervous when they dip you down into the water as I'm deathly afraid of a shark reaching up and biting my ARSE! :)

  18. omg you don't look scared at all. The first time I did it I was about in tears when we had to sit on the back of the boat before lifting up. Im glad I did it though. It was a lot of fun. My sister and I did it together the first time. We held on for dear life!! hahah The second time I did it I was more realized and enjoyed it.

The first I did it they "gave you the option" of how high up you wanted to go. My sister & I chose the shortest distance. When we came back down we told the guy that seemed awful high for 300 ft. He said yeah we take everyone up 1200. Oh great thanks!!! hahah

  23. I think it looks like fun!! I would totally do it. I saw that a newlywed couple (on their honeymoon) parasailed and something happened, and it broke plummeting them into the ocean. She later died :-( A freak accident, but I still would want to try it!

Did you see in Myrtle Beach that they have these rocket jet packs that you wear that lets you fly over the ocean? I might have done that, while I was there, but it was rather expensive.

  27. We've had a million opportunities to, but have never done it. Reading this really makes me want to do it though! I never thought about being able to look down and see everything in the water..

  28. I am not a swimmer, but am *dying* to parasail. I just need to find someone to do it with me, or wait until my kids are older and make my daredevil son do it. My husband hates heights and says he will never get strapped in! I've been in a hot air balloon -- and can only guess that the feeling is something similar!
