It's April!

Despite the circumstances, Kyle and I had a pretty good day yesterday. I made us both breakfast and then we headed out for a run. I just have to say that Kyle is such an amazing motivator. He was encouraging me the whole way and by the time we got home I realized we ran 2.5 miles. I was stoked and felt amazing afterwards. We grilled teriyaki chicken/vegetable kabobs for dinner and just enjoyed a great night together. My sister posted this picture of Kylie and Grayson on Easter:

Seriously, how cute are they?! They had a blast hunting for eggs with the family.

Saturday we spent the day shopping and enjoying the gorgeous weather. We went to the Farmer's Market in Las Cruces and then went to a few malls. I got all of this stuff plus a few tank tops and a new bread machine (plus Kyle got a new video game) on our shopping adventure.

I was also on the hunt for a dress for the formal this week. My sister gave me the idea to wear a previous formal dress that I already owned. It is special to me because it was a dress that I bought on the last shopping trip I had with my Mom. While looking I found the perfect dress for Kyle's Change of Command. I wanted it for a long time but it was pricey and it finally went on sale!

Today we are starting our garden! We are off to Home Depot to pick up the raised bed, can't wait to grow lots of yummy things. :)

I hope you all have a great day and Happy April!

  22. The dresses are AMAZING! You look beautiful! I just found out that we have sub ball to go to this month!!! I had no idea! I can't wait to go dress shopping. I wanted to re-wear the one I have too from last year but it's short and although that flies in Hawaii, I don't think this is the case here…lol so off I go!

So glad you have such a strong support system in Kyle. He is definitely in your life for a reason :) I love that you are wearing the dress that you found with your mom. How perfect! I can't wait to see pictures!

  23. glad you two had such a nice day together. way to go on the run! once my husband gets back i need to get out there running with him. LOVE all the stuff you picked up, too. I just got myself a new pair of TOMS (and got a surprise pair for the hubby). That pink dress looks stunning on you and the CoC dress is so cute and classy!

  24. I love the CofC dress! Where'd you get it??

When we do go to formals (i.e. when we're forced :), I usually get knee-length dresses. It's the most rebellious thing I do.

  25. Sounds like a very nice weekend. Beautiful dresses and cute "bunnies"!

  26. Ran 2.5 miles nice work!!!! I would have collapsed. I wish I could run long distances. I just can't stick with it long enough to build up the tolerance to run like that.

Those TOMS they get dirty pretty quickly. Avoid any 'off road' activities while wearing them.

Both dresses are REALLY pretty. I'm LOVING the one on the right!
