April Already!?

 I can't believe it's already April 1st!

I feel like this week has flown by! Having the kids here has been so much fun. We have spent a ton of time at the park and hearing the high pitch laughter when Kyle pushes them on the swings is pretty awesome. He has been dubbed the best Uncle ever.

On top of having the kids here we are still chugging along and here is what is happening lately:

*I finished my latest 2 grad school classes and I still have a 4.0! I have to say that I am pretty proud of that.

*Kyle started his new job yesterday and I can already see a difference in his demeanor. He seems happier and is loving the idea of not being in the field anymore.

*We will be having lots of visitors in the coming months. On top of having my sister and the kids here, my Dad will be here in May for 2 weeks and then my inlaws at the end of June. :) Plus we are planning a trip down to Florida for a week at the end of April/early May.

*In regards to school I am actively looking for scholarships and grants, I will have enough of the GI Bill left to pay for all but 2 classes. I will be off to the Ed Center on post next week to see what they recommend.

*We are prepping the animals for summer already, Fishy will be getting shaved next week. He is going to be pissed but he will be adorable with a lions mane cut. haha.

My sister will be back in Louisiana tomorrow and we have a fun weekend planned! Tomorrow will be a 5k Color run on post, seeing Zootopia and dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Sunday, we will be heading down to Lafayette for Monster Jam!

It's going to be a lot of fun.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

  1. Hurrah on finishing 2 classes and still keeping a 4.0!! Ooh, I can't wait to see Fishy with his mane!! ;) Good luck with the Color Run and have a great weekend!!

  2. Lots of good things coming up! Glad Kyle is enjoying his new job.

  3. Congrats on the 4.0! Lots of things to look forward to coming up! Enjoy!

  4. So happy to hear that Kyle is happier in his new job! I know how much of a difference that can make at home.

  5. Sounds like you have lots of fun things going on!

  6. That's awesome that the GI bill will cover all of your Bachelor's & Master's except 2 classes! We're probably going to pay out of pocket for my Master's because I want to get started sooner, but it shouldn't be too bad because Liberty University online has a GREAT MBA in HR program at a killer price for milspouses!

  7. Oh my goodness, so much going on, but so fun!!

  8. Congrats on the 4.0! That's huge! And yay for all the visitors and fun adventures planned!

  9. Sounds and looks like you all are having a great time! so glad you all get to spend so much enjoyable time with family.

  10. I had a good weekend as I was gone most of Friday and Sat. Catching up today. Megan is done with school....test tomorrow and it's OVER! I went online to make a grad announcement/party invite. Done. Waiting for final grades to be submitted....then we'll order them! Happy dance on this end for sure. Hope you can find financial aid for your last classes. Good job! You sound busy and happy! :0)

  11. You are so good at school! I'm so intimidated to go back.
I can't wait to see Fishy's hair cut!

  12. Congrats on the 4.0! And yay for Kyle liking his new job better!

Love hearing from you!! :)
