Friday Confessions

I haven't done one of these in a while so I thought it would be a fun way to end the week.

I confess....that I applied for my Master's program a few days ago and had a slight panic attack as I was doing it.

I confess....that I get a little too amped up when it comes to things I read on social media. I rarely ever comment on things that are controversial but I let it bother me way more than it should. This has been a real problem for me lately because there is just too much nonsense going on.

I confess....that I have ZERO desire to watch any of the debates going on. I just can't handle the ridiculousness.

I confess....that I have zero skill when it comes to doing my makeup. I usually walk out the door with only blush, mascara, and lip gloss on. I would love to be all fancy but I just don't have the talent nor patience. :)

I confess....that I get a little too comfortable in my own ways when Kyle is gone. It's hard to readjust when he is back from the field especially when it's for a short time. Thankfully he doesn't mind when he comes home and I'm still in my pajamas lol.

I confess....that I really wish Kyle's unit would have a military ball, I am itching to get dressed up haha. It probably won't happen though.

I confess....that I yelled at the movers across the street the other day for throwing their packing tape all over our yard. It was not a pretty sight (me or the tape in the yard lol).

I confess.....that I drove to Florida for the weekend just because. It's nice to not need an excuse to see my sister and the kiddos.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. I want to go to a ball too!!
And I hope nothing I write gets you riled up...is it all the gifs? The writers at Lifetime?? I can't stop the madness! SNOL (snorting out loud)

  2. I'm the same way about getting amped up about social media posts. I wrote a rant-y response three times and deleted it three times because I'm not trying to get sucked into that drama/idocracy.

I'm with you on the controversial topics and debates. I just can't do it.

  7. I can't do makeup either! I'm good to put on eyeliner and mascara.

  8. I never wear make up and if I do it's very subtle and only eye shadow. I don't have the patience and 90% of the time I just would rather not spend the time learning. I am so glad that you were able to go see your sister and her kids. I'm sure they love that you're close enough to do so as well :)

  9. I didn't watch the debates either. I have no clue how to do any kind of make up. I have mastered chapstick, and that is all.

  10. Love that you drove to see your family, just because you can. :) Good luck w/the Masters. I though that degree (in my field anyway) was far easier than the Bachelor's degree!

  11. I stick to the basics with makeup too! I've tried to recreate some video tutorials I've watched online but I just end up looking crazy!

  12. I don't watch political debates, either. I do my own research and make my decisions without having to watch people argue for hours at a time.

  13. I get too upset about stuff on social media too. It'll only get worse now that the debates have started. :l

  14. I didn't watch either of the debates. My husband watched the first one since he had the day off. He is more into the political arena than me and I get a bit annoyed with it. I'm always happy when the elections are over! Makeup===foundation, mascara and blush, sometimes eye shadow, depending on my mood or if I'm running late.
