I am so happy it's Friday! I feel like this week has gone by so slow!
*The last time I talked about Kyle's surgery I said it would happen at the end of the year. However, his bosses have been amazing and pushed him to do it sooner. So it looks like September 24th is the day. I am listed on his medical paperwork so I will get to be with him in San Antonio. Such a huge relief! Here is hoping the surgery helps.
* After a 10 month break I finally decided to be social again. I signed up to be a part of the Fort Polk Spouses Club, it will be nice to have something to do. I don't regret taking the break from all things FRG and volunteering, my work at Bliss wore me out.
*I am finally biting the bullet and buying new running shoes. My current ones are starting to hurt my feet and I cannot take the chance of them messing up my feet before my marathon training starts. I'm sticking with the same brand, Saucony and I'm eyeing these beauties. They always have the best colors.
*In addition to my running routine, I have decided to give Yoga a try. It has always interested me but I never made the effort to go to classes. I found a place in town and I'm going to give it a shot. I'm really excited!
Hope you all have a great weekend! Fishy wants you all to relax just like him:
:)
Let me know how yoga goes!
ReplyDeleteI tagged you today lady. :)
I'll definitely let you know! :) Thanks for tag can't wait to participate this coming week.
DeleteHow have a totally missed that you're at Fort Polk?! I've heard such mixed things about it. That's awesome that you've decided to get back involved. Sometimes it really is nice to take a break from FRG and other Army wife stuff. Hope you meet some wonderful new women!
ReplyDeleteWe've been here 10 months and we absolutely love it! :) It's definitely different but it's awesome.
DeleteI always say I want to try yoga, and then forget. Kristin has a lot of sites she visits and shares and I have them all bookmarked, I just need to do it! I'm glad Kyle's surgery was bumped up!
ReplyDeleteyay for an earlier surgery date! I love yoga, and those shoes.
ReplyDeleteFishy is doing my favorite yoga position. :-P
ReplyDeleteLove those colorful sneaks! I heard somewhere that sneakers have a finite number of miles you can run in them before they start to be useless basically, so at your rate of running, I bet you are definitely in need of new ones :)
ReplyDeleteI sooooo want you and Kyle to move to Knox!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are cute running shoes!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you meet some awesome new women!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for hubby's surgery and I'm so glad you get to with him for it too! I love those shoes. They are super cute! Saucony's are my go to running shoe.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! :) We are hopeful that it helps.
DeleteI'm glad the surgery got moved up! I hope that it works out. :D
ReplyDeleteIf you need anything while you're in San Antonio, hit me up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder about the spouses' club. The first event for here is tomorrow, and I totally forgot about it!
ReplyDeleteThat's exciting that he got his surgery pushed up and you get to be there with him! I'm praying for good results!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Fishy has already gotten the hang of yoga. If you have a good instructor, it's really enjoyable and helps so much with tight muscles from running. And yay for new running shoes! I replaced mine about a month ago and it's made a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteI am glad they are able to move up the surgery! That seems like a rarity in the military for things to work out like that.
