Life in Pictures

I Living in a hotel is certainly interesting. One of the not so fun things is not being able to decorate for my favorite holiday, Halloween. Thanks to a great idea from a friend I picked up a few things to make the room a little more festive. It does make me feel better haha.

A few months ago I had a friend of mine custom make this galvanized bucket to give to Kyle once he cased his colors. I decided to fill it with lots of goodies that he would like: candy corn pumpkins, golf balls, plastic practice golf balls, wine, Guinness screen tee, and a Luke Bryan cd (yes my husband loves country and is not afraid to admit it lol). He loved it!!!

The one thing we don't have to worry about is Emma and Fishy. They have been such troopers throughout this transition and enjoy lounging around on the bed all day. I can't say that I blame them. :)

My view while running now is not the prettiest, I do miss the mountain view that our house had. Now I get to stare at strip malls and car dealerships. I guess it could be worse.

Happy Thursday everyone!!! :)

  1. I also can't go all-out with fall decor because of the remodel…hopefully we'll both be settled in time for Christmas decorations!

  9. I would totally have put Halloween decorations up too! It's my favorite holiday as well. When we moved to Alaska we were in a hotel for halloween, but the kids still dressed up and we went downstairs and trick or treated at the front desk. haha!

  10. Aww! You got some cute stuff to help spruce up the room. I hated hotel living when we first got here. I had no idea you guys would have to stay so long also.. :/ Good to see you're making the best of it though!

  12. I didn't even think about not being able to decorate. I think you did a great job with the little space you have.

Strip malls and car dealerships are no fun when running. That was the scenery at my last house.

  13. Oh, girl! I am not at all in the autumnal mood and it is all but killing me :/ I haven't put but one shelf of Halloween out and another of autumn decor out. Okinawa is just messing with me. I better be over it by Christmas!
