A few weeks ago my awesome friend Kim texted me and said she was going to scope out the area we would be living in once we got to Polk. She called me a few days later and gave me the details. We will be in a pretty nice area, full of places to run, down the street from the neighborhood center, and only 7 minutes from Kyle's work (you really can't get much better than that), and close to her house.
She then sent me a few pictures of the area to include a pictures of what the houses look like.

The houses are older but to be honest we don't care, we are happy that we will be living on post again. Especially with how crazy Kyle's schedule is going to be. We can't wait to get there and get settled. Oh and let me just say that I am ridiculously excited to live in a place that has green and trees! North Carolina spoiled me for sure haha.
We will also start back up with fertility treatments and testing once we get settled. We decided to put it on hold while we are in transition and it was the best option for us. We are still 100% committed to having a family and that will never change (no matter what anyone says or thinks).

Only 20 days left in this hotel before we leave Texas!
I hope you will love your new house! It looks like a very nice area!
ReplyDeleteOne definite perk of military life is knowing people who live so many places. It's great that y'all have an idea of your house already (and not just from the housing website).
ReplyDeleteHow great that you already know people there! And what a great location!
ReplyDeleteThat's so soon!!!! The area that y'all are moving to sounds pretty stinking awesome! I hope it's as good in person as it sounds. :)

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nice area! I was so excited to get to Florida where there were trees. I don't know if El Paso has trees, but South Texas does not. It was weird to have shade again. :)
ReplyDeleteNice place. We might be moving next year to better quarters on post. I so can't wait.
