Another Week Begins

This weekend was our last full one in El Paso! We originally planned on leaving on Monday, the 27th but we moved it to the 26th. So 6 days from now we will be on the road.

We started our with breakfast at Cracker Barrel...I am going to miss having one close (well within a 5 minute driving distance lol). It's one of our favorite places.

Afterwards we did a little shopping...Old Navy was having a great sale so I got some things and Kyle got a new video game.

We saw our photos from the half last weekend and I am really not sure why I am smiling lol. My knees were killing me but I was happy to be almost done.

The rest of the weekend was spent getting rid of things we don't need and slowly packing things up. My week will consist of getting maintenance on the vehicles taken care of and getting school work done.

Happy Monday everyone!

  1. I hear you on Cracker Barrel! Our closest is about 40 mins away, so just far enough away that we never go.

  6. Good luck with getting ready for the move!!! We're PCSing from Huachuca to Drum in less than 3 months, and it's our first married PCS. Needless to say, we're terrified...and insanely excited. So many adventures ahead for you guys though!

  7. HA! Cracker Barrel! When we moved away from post we ate at Cracker Barrel every day for almost two week! I must say the culinary choices arounf Polk are horrid! Hana was by far the best in the area. There are almost no breakfast choices, the Huddle house on post is all we ever went too. Far too many bad stories with the Waffle Shoppe. I know, I said before that Ft. Polk isnt that bad... but girl... Eat all the good food while you can before you get there... and visit NOLA as often as possible (the food is incredible there)

  8. I love Cracker Barrel. I never get to eat there, and I miss it.

Your picture looks great! I saw mine from the half a few weeks ago, and I look angry or pained in all of them.

  11. We love Cracker Barrel too! Trenton thinks that because they have candles on the table, that it is a "really nice" restaurant. He want to take me on a date there one night! ;-)

  14. Never had the chance to eat at a Cracker Barrel. I have heard it is good though. Well, have a good week and don't stress too much. Phil has to take my car into Ford dealership on Wed. He was trying to change the oil over the weekend, but oil plug refused to budge. So hopefully they can just get it out. Then change the oil. Phil's car had that happen once as well. Sigh! At least it's not too expensive. Have a good week. Will keep you and Kyle in thought and prayers, for your soon to be road trip! Hugs!
